Think of the facts. Don't think of one elders niceness.... he may and probably is geniunely a good person! Remember that hundreds more in his place are not!

he had a very calm, serene, quality about him.
came off as truly "spiritual".

Johnny Cash looks so old... and his music has spanned many generations. I used to hate him as a kid, but his new album really bridged a wide gap, even singing Nine Inch Nails songs... Even though I was a fan before this one, too....
Too bad about her death. It's really sad, and It sucks knowing that death will happen to all..... just reminds us of our own mortality...

What if...

at this point it seems like it would be easy just to tell them to get help from jehovah, but i suppose if one of them truly needed help i might feel differently.

Is There Anything in Life That You Truly Regretted?
by minimus inone thing that stands out for me is how i never went to my own grandmother's burial because, after all she was dead and during the day she died it was on a thursday night and i had 2 parts to handle so i performed them well and at the end gave the congregation, "a progress report" of how my grandmother had been doing since she was in the hospital, suffering from cancer.
that evening i told the congregation that she had died that afternoon.
many people cried at that point but later i was commended by many for not missing a meeting that evening.......

I regret being a JW in some ways, but not others:
In the religion, I quit smoking, quit having alcohol / drugs control my happiness. (That's it) It really did make me a better person, and that's something that I still hold on to to this day. I will never smoke again, and never have the need to get drunk to enjoy life... (I hope!)
I regret the way that I acted in the truth - self-righteous weiner.... I regret many things in there, but I can't do diddly squat about it now - just move on, and learn from it. Learn not to judje people too much, b/c we all have our faults, and don't even know it!
