I feel lots of ages....
When angry, 2
When not, 78.
some people look younger than their age and also feel younger than their age.
and some people look and act older than their age.
although i'm 43, i feel like 25. i do the same things and think the same way as i did then, but with a bit more experience which helps me not to repeat certain errors of life.

sorry if the title came across as a "minimus question," but after posting to one of joelbear's threads, i thought of my experience with therapists.
all together, i've spent between 20 and 30 hours in counseling on two separate occassions and, i'm happy to say, both of the counselors and both of the experiences remain very good memories.
i found out early on that for them to do their job, you had to be bluntly honest so that's what i did.
Yes, I just started. I felt better after just one appointment!
When your therapist said, " You were a believer ", what did she mean? Did she know what it was like, to get deprogrammed? I have heard of therapists whom deal lots with ex-jw's because of the emotional abuse from the elders....
howdy all-.
mrs. s henderson of kentucky has agreed to give her hand in marriage to me at grayson kentucky on the 24th of may.

Hi There!
Nice to meet you! I just graduated, too! A little late, though. Are you going to your graduation?
what's a kingdom song you can remember singing that gives you the creeps now?
mine is "move ahead" i think that was the title, anyway it has so much rhetoric... but the tune is so darn catchy.... darn.... in my opinion, those songs are the perfect example of mind control.
move ahead.. move ahead ... blah blah blah blah blah .
Sick! Sick!
I would have sang along like I would have licked her feet!

the wts always talks about how wrong it was for the pharisees to make an endless number of rules.
but the wts is guilty of the same thing.
you can't have a beard... you can't watch rated r movies... you must report your field service activity... you cannot go to costume parties... you can have some blood fractions but not whole blood... you can't read any stuff that is against our opinion... yadda yadda yadda.. my mom (an active jw) argues that theses are not rules but only guidelines.
Exactly. They are not guidelines, so tell your mom what will happen if she reads any differing opinions while in "good" standing!

after leaving the org... and confronting problems (in the real world), did you ever feel like... maybe this is a sign i shouldn't have left?.
i felt like this a couple weeks ago after finding out the guy i lost my virginity to (an other ex-dub), had a girlfriend the whole time we were together.
the thought of the org.
GOF,
It is only natural to feel that way. The religion brought you much comfort to your mind, even if they hurt you. It is mind control sugar coated, and I hope that you don't even consider it unless you think long and hard about it. Remember, if you go back, things will never be the same, b/c they will treat you like dirt. That is not how god's followers treat their flock.

who uses my own email address to send me very strange e-cards.......... check this out!.
http://www35.123greetings.com/card/05/21/11/53/bm40521115335303.html.
should i be worried?.
Hoo.... that's weird!
Block the e-mails, now. Get rid of whomever it is ASAP. People just love to screw with other people on the internet, so don't get too worried. But, do take immediate action. Could be creepy1
reading the book of acts and the letters of paul do not bear out the dogma that all the early christians preached.
there are no "service meetings" in the new testament that prepare the average christian for a public ministry.
reading accounts from contemporary first and second century christians indicates that it was the example of christians, not the preaching by all, that primarily drew nonbelievers to christianity.. it is significant that the instructions to preach that are in the new testament are addressed to "elders" and "overseers" like timothy.
Excellent Posting Topic!!!
I have wondered this, too. Who else would preach this good news? Well, they all didn't do it! They certainly were not freaks about it even if they did go into the ministry, I'm sure. So why do JWs do that? C'mon. They're nuts.
my daughter meghan graduated from college this past saturday.
it was actually a beautiful day in new hampshire for a change.
i was so proud when she walked across that stage and accepted her diploma.
Good for you! You don't need hypocrites in your life, nor does your daughter. Sounds like she has a good head on her shoulders and you should be proud! Good for you, and congrats to your daughter.
