  Who of you here know someone in Bethel who is leaking information?

  do any of you here have direct contacts with bethel, or one of the branches?

  do any of you have family that is in bethel?.

  not too long ago one of you posted that bethel asked for 1000 volunteers to be laid off, but only 6 repsonded.

  125 years of the watchtower, and women are still considered garbage.. they cannot give talks, have a position in the congregation, cannot lead a study when a man is present, give a prayer etc etc etc etc.......... they can be of the annoited class, but a man who is a ms, still has more say !!!!!!!!!!.

  to all the women on this board, did this ever bother you as a jw, and does it bother you know ???.

  how can women sit at a meeting and in a round about way be treated like garbage and accept it ????

  I guess that the reasoning here is that you are to treat your wife as yourself, and, that would mean that she's being treeated properlly..... however, that does not usually happen in the religion....

  In a perfect world, it COULD work... it's not a perfect world, though, and people usually treat their wives like crap. Wait on god, they say.. well, emotional abuse is not included in this councel...... so, what then?

  What weird habits do you have?

  i always go to bed naked, even in the winter.

  i eat at odd hours, whenever i'm hungry, and that happens fast.

  breakfast at 6:30am, dinner at 10:15 am (i'm hungry) supper at 3:30 pm (still hungry).

  I look after two clients with OCD. One take 1.5 hours to do the dishes, b/c she washes things a "certain" way... weird...

  Sorry, I don't really have any weird habits, other than obsessively posting here...

  i am really curious as to how you will answer this soj,,,,,,,and any other active jw's who post here, even read here,,,,,,,,,because when i was an active witness,,,,,,,,i was taught that reading any apostate material was wrong.

  i didnt even watch a tv show that talked bad about the jw"s for fear it was an apostate program.. i know if you are caught soj, posting here,,,,,,you would not have been reinstated( you were right?

  Uh, I actually have REGULAR SHOES without "clipless" pedals. I prefer the basket over the pedal - why??

  B/c I mountain bike, and need to climb, usually hike up trails, and scream down them. I find that those shoes are pretty much useless for hiking at all, and I can still get a decent "pull up" using these pedals... although, the best for non-technical terrain, if you don't need to hike, would be clipless. Also, try using clipless in heavy muddy mountain-biking. Pretty useless...

  If you're road bikin' though, those are the cat's ass. Also, so is regular spandex....

  do demons flee when someone pronounces god's name, jehovah?

  i know this is a belief from the jws, but i don't know on what it is founded, or if it is.

  Sorry, I can't answer that one... I believe that "demon attacks" are pretty rare, personally. We were taught in the borg to say the name Jehovah if ever attacked.

  What's your ideal scenario for the fall of the WTBTS?

  i've seen a few posts where someone states that they want the org to "go to hell" or "burn in hell".

  the org has always had a "likely" chain of events for the armegeddon, you know, babylon the great being destroyed and by the wild beast and the the wild beast turning on the witnesses, the start of the great tribulation, armegeddon, and then the thousand year reign (or something like that).

  so... what would you like to see happen to the org?

  I wouldn't want revenge... I would like to see their books opened, thier crimes exposed, and a gentle bye-bye to them. There would still be maniacal people who would still follow it...

  Oh well. There are still a lot of good people in there, and they need to find out the truth. I wouldn't want them crushed, no more than if I was in the borg and was crushed by "apostates" yelling and screaming "I TOLD YOU SO!!!".

  It's pretty difficult not to feel that way, though.
