  after leaving jws i have found myself increasingly impatient with religion and just how stupid some things are that people believe.

  i understand not all of you on here are atheists, but i wanted to point out my new blog.

  in my blog i am a believer that the spaghetti monster exists and base my writings as such.

  EVER FIGHT AN INSURANCE COMPANY??

  as many of you know, my brother in law is fighting a life-threatening disease and the chances of him surviving, are slim.

  my sister has been off on short term disability since june, since she's in no shape to work.

  she's worked for the same company for 32 years and has probably taken 5 sick days during the entire time she's worked there.

  Stunningly and persistently naive. Follow the money. Always follow the money.

  Did I say the government perfectly regulates them? No. But do you honestly think a corporation will behave on its own volition? Do you think the government should not regulate them?

  My point is that regulation is needed. It will never be perfect. Why are you turning this into something about "blind trust for the government"? I don't blindly trust them. However I do think they are the best entity to regulate corporations.

  what happens if the companies making them do a p*** poor job of quality control on purpose to save money and fatten their profits, or put poisons in the vaccines on purpose to drum up future drug sales?

  That's why the pharmaceutical industry is heavily regulated. We can't trust greedy corporations go to completely unregulated. You know, like the entire "alternative medicine" or "dietary supplement" machines. They don't have to prove anything with regards to efficacy or saftey before selling anything.

  And you are not seriously suggesting that diet alone would make someon "immune" to things like the flu, colds, or E. coli infections, are you?
