  can't find a good usage site, and i would like to know the prefered usage for :.

  Basically never use "insure" unless you are talking about insurance. Use "assure" if you want to build confidence in something. Use "ensure" if you want to show absolute certainty.

  many here don't believe in god anymore so can't believe in any resurrection.

  so what do you expect once you die?.

  and if you believe that there is nothing after this life, are you working overtime in this life to get the most out of it because there is nothing after...

  Don't be to sure that you are right and others wrong.

  Sheila, I was just kidding around.

  But I do admit I am very skeptical about those "experiences" and do not believe they are real. Just my opinion.

  Witnesses still having some success at doors

  riding around the city this morning i saw 2 witnesses from my congregation talking to a man at his door, and they seemed to have placed a book or magazine.

  although they did not enter his house, they stead there at his door a couple of minutes.

  although most do not answer or accept anything from witnesses, he seemed to be an exception.

  only about a 3 percent chance that the JW will actually try to make the return visit.

  In my case it was about 1% chance. I just hated RVs. But it's ok! God will ensure sheeplike ones will learn the truth!

  I WENT TO THE ASSEMBLY YESTERDAY HAHA!!!

  well i went to the assembly yesterday, to see what bullshit they'd come up with this year to be upbuilt and i certainly won't go next year wasn't disappointed!

  i happened to have a conversation over aol im with an old friend of mine back in pa....she is the kind of girl who is going to college, watches r rated movies...basically puts herself first but is still very brainwashed.....i never really noticed this before but she kept talking about herself, even mentioned how much her (very small) condo is worth now....i found it very odd....i thought the paradise is right around the corner?

  how did u cope with suddenly being cut off from the people that you love and depend on?.

  We feel your pain. It does get easier with time, though. Making friends outside of the org helps. Discussing your experiences (here or with other ex-JW friends) will help.

  It will get better! My wife and I have only been out for about 9 months now. It was difficult at the start, especially for her, but it is getting easier every day.

  Dinner last night with our JW friends

  dave and i have a nice friendship with a jw couple from our teen years.

  all of us are now pushing 60 or in the 60's.

  the wife is an old friend of mine from childhood, the daughter of a very well known elder in our area who passed away a few years ago, and her husband is a man we all met in our late teens, when he was studying.
