To answer your question, I am an active JW , Ministerial Servant. Yes actives are on here as well. Why? Well at first it was simply to learn how to defend my faith against "apostates". Now I visit here as a way to keep myself grounded. That is see both sides of the argument. Keep myself from becoming a fanatical JW. I think there are a lot of gray areas out there.

is the big show on 1914 at Service Meeting evidence of factions in the GB?
by Wasanelder Once insometimes the gb do end runs around each other, as when freddie franz didn't agree with the whole governing body concept and spoke against it at the gilead graduation.
could this video/demonstration at the service meeting tonight on why they believe in 1914 and how to explain it to others be an effort to bolster that belief because there is a challange coming against it by factions within?
i guess we can't really tell but i wouldn't put it past the boneheads running the society.

For the past 2 weekends we havr had official branch test runs with our video equipment. Both were 2 hour recorded feeds. The last one was saturday at 3pm eastern time. (Usa)
It was the last 2 hours of the 2014 annual meeting.
The next test is saturday 25th at 3pm Eastern time as well.

Cant post the login info because they got smart and gave each congregation a unique username that includes the congregation number.
they will intantly know which congregation leaks the login now.
In fact, the login letter doesnt even go to the whole body of elders. Only the "Event Coordinator" gets the login info. So if it grts leaked, someones headbwill be on a stick.

Can I block tv.jw.org from my internet?

recently i have noticed a very very strong push from my spouse's family.
they have been sending jw shit in the mail all the time.

blocking at the router is the way to go. But a pure block will raise suspisions of why you blocked it. I would instead do a redirect. All requests going to jw.org should be redirected to something like www.a-blue-box.com or www.pleasedonate.biz 😜

8-1-2014 is today, the start of the "special campaign" to distribute the Jw.org tract. As a "still in" Jw, I find that facebook post insultingly stupid, eccentric, and in bad taste. I am embarrassed by some peoples lack of thinking and dignity.

PEER PRESSURE!!! I gave in to Pioneering during August...I feel dirty...
by stuckinarut2 inok, i'll admit it...i am weak.... as everyone knows, the pressure to "pioneer" during "the most momentous, awesome, amazing, centenary anniversay of jesus invisble kigdom rule, & distribute tracts about a dodgy website" campaign is very strong at the moment.... also, many will have read my threads about the extreme views and expectations in our cong for "all appointed men to pioneer" etc..... every elder and ms and their families have been announced as pioneering....i mean everyone's name was read out except mine..... i was not going to do it, as i do not believe anyone should be forced...(and of course its the last thing on earth i would rather do anyway since learning ttatt).
but i am not quite ready to make the break yet, so i realised that i would stand out more if i didnt put in a form to pioneer.
yes it would make me more conspicious, and make fading harder to do...it would bring more heat on me if i didnt pioneer.. so i gave in and submitted a form.... now, of course, i'm only going to make sure i'm seen at the key field service groups etc...but then go and do something more interesting...like count blades of grass..... ahh....i feel hypocritical to myself now......

1) any active Jw will not know what this site is at first glance. or at least they shouldnt ;)
2) on the way out there chance someone caught you on it, easy .... "I know! I was going to download my latest watchtower, and I accidentally typed Jw in search bar instead of address bar. That sneaky apostate site popes up! Holy crap, Im so glad I saw that demo at the convention, and I closed that site as soon as I noticed it was the wrong one. Whew isn't that satan a sneaky one?"

JW.org shows that the society doesn't really want to talk to people who aren't witnesses
by Skinnedsheep ini find it fascinating to see how quickly the society has about faced on the use of the internet.
interestingly they still have not adopted two way communication channels such as facebook, twitter, instagram.
etc.. if you are lurking....why do you think that is?
