A comment I heard tonight

tonight i heard one of the most cruel and twisted comments i've ever heard at the platform.

the topic was the apocalypse and whether or not children will be slaughtered.

through one side of his mouth, the po stated that the bible is not clear on the matter, while out the other side he pointed to all those old testament accounts where children were killed.

And, as I've already said: It was nothing more than "theocratic warfare," waged for a purpose that I won't disclose to you.

Then I'll disclose the reason. The watchtower whore loves to fellate the image of the wild beast.

I have no doubt the watchtower whore had something in mind besides its UN library card when it bent over for the UN. The end may justify the means in business or politics, but not when it comes to "pure worship". If there were any legitimate justification for this action the society would not try to hide it.

OK, Yet Another Thread About the Memorial good grief

there are umpteen threads about the memorial already.

did anyone else ever get a weird feeling as the emblems were passed?

even when i was a hardcore dub, i always had a strange feeling in my gut.

I remember being at one meeting where the memorial was being planned. The emphasis was definitely on making sure the emblems were served to everyone, including the speaker. They spent quite a long time discussing it.

I guess they wanted to make sure everyone had the opportunity to reject them.

Are you drunk? You must be! If you read your own comment, does it make any sense at all to you?

It makes perfect sense to anyone who's mind isn't twisted with cult propaganda.

The watchtower society has for many years denounced the UN as a tool of satan, a counterfeit of god's kingdom. It has called other religions "whores" for supporting the UN. The WTS membership as a NGO with the UN required its agreement with the UN charter and support of its principles. By it's actions, the watchtower aligned itself with these same religions it was calling "whores". Yes, the watchtower itself is a disgusting, skanky whore, and in my book so is anyone who defends its actions.

It was nothing more than "theocratic warfare," waged for a purpose that I won't disclose to you.

So now you're claiming to be "in the know"? I really doubt it. You come accross much more like a rabid dog of a cult propagandist who's not taken seriously in his own congregation. That's why you come here to spew your bile - no one else will listen to you.

Did You Feel Superior To Those People Who Only Ever Came To The Memorial?

we did.. we used to call them "memorial saints".

they were the fringe members, the fallen away, the disfellowshipped, those who had their own private pipeline to jehovah, bible studies, good-will, disinterested husbands, delinquent kids, prophets, lunatics and uncle tom cobley and all.. in short, all the weirdo's that could be mustered together on just one night of the year.

but it got the numbers up.

The ones that make it to more meetings than just the memorial feel superior than...
The ones that go to all the meetings feel superior to those that miss some meetings.
Regular publishers with privileges feel superior to those regular publishers without.
MS feel superior to those publishers with privileges.
MS that do the regular pioneering feel superior to the ones MS alone.
Elders feel superior than MS.
Elders that regular pioneer feel superior to those that are only elders.
Auxiliary pioneer sisters feel superior than just regular publisher sisters.
Regular pioneer sisters feel superior than auxiliary pioneer sisters.
And so on, and so on.
It's just a vicious cycle of passive-agressive feelings of superiority with the WTBTS. And if anyone dares deny this, they're flat out lying.

One elder?, in a talk, lumped them in with interested ones? who never made progress?. He called them "Jehovah's Bystanders".

Yes, I used to look down on them too. I was only a poor pioneer? window cleaner, and it felt good to have someone to look down on.

i am going to the memorial because i am still confused and stressed and discombobulated on the jw issue.

i know in my heart it is "not" the truth.

my family keeps stopping by unannouced and seeing if i am going.

I once overheard someone say "Nice to see you" to a sister?. Her reply was "It's nice to be seen." The elder seemed stunned, so I thought I'd use the same reply. It didn't take long for people to stop pestering me at meetings.

who remembers their first day at school

i remember mine...it was in the days when all pupils gathered daily for a service to start the day even though it was not a religious school...anyway my sister had started the same school the previous year and my parents had informed the school that she would not be attending the daily service..not a problem..except for some reason they assumed that because i was the same surname the school would make the connection that i wasnt to go into service...but they didnt and so i found myself right at the front of the hall on my first day not even 5 years old in my new blazer and short trousers with all the other pupils behind me knowing i shouldnt be there..so i started crying..and first my teacher came to see what was wrong but quickly got frustrated because i couldnt explain myself..so she smacked me for crying and kept smacking me to get me to stop crying and then got the headmistress to smack me to get me to stop crying until eventually time was up and they had to cancel the service.....result...still loved school though...tijkmo

My mom took me to my first day of school, and I cried all the way. You'd have thought I was being led to the gallows.

i remember being told if you partake of the emblems and not be of the anointed the bad things will happen you or at the very least christ will be real made at you.

i have always believed the witness's to be presumptuous on their part of this issue to make such a statement, who are they to say who should and who should not.

does not the bible/christ, say to do this always in remembrance of me, concerning his followers are we not his followers?

I won't be going tonight. But for a long time I thought that everyone should partake, not just a few. Jesus gave his command to ALL that were present. He didn't say anyone should be left out.
