I'm probably worse. I don't even like dancing. If someone manages to get me on a dance floor all I do is step on people's feet, or sometimes knock them over.

Those conditions have always existed. It may appear more pronounced because we are more conscious of world affairs now than in the past. There are also more people. The JWs have not provided evidence that the events of today are disproportionate to the events of 2,000 years ago.

I especially like the quote, "being limited by the laws"....as if the only thing holding them back from killing "apostates" is laws....as if they are all going around with this murderous desire but restrain themselves only because of laws.
Yeah, they don't want to go to jail where it might be harder to sell magazines.
For a long time I've thought the society is guilty of promoting hate, and this is one evidence of it. Their entire religion is based on the belief that everyone who doesn't share their beliefs deserves to die.

A possible reason WHY, the 'New System' was never a Reality to us.
by gumby inperhaps i'm wrong, but this is a possible explanation.i was always taught that a new system would soon replace the old one.
in this new system there would be no more war, everyone would eat from his own 'fig tree', they would build houses and love one another.. .
in every publication that depicted this new system.....it was a picture of a beautiful lush productive earth, people were carrying baskets of vegetables and fruit walking together being of different decent, the men were bulding houses with smiles on their faces, and the children were playing with the animals.

This is one thing that always bothered me. Where was the BBQ, ribs, burgers, sausages? The thought of living forever eating only grapes, tomatos, and watermelons just didn't cut it for me.
And don't forget those "loving elders" who were going to be "princes". I was sure they'd assign me to clean toilets somewhere while they went out to play some golf.

Why remember the bad treatment?

I rarely commented and the elders were constantly on my ass about it. And the more they got on my ass the less inclined I was to comment. Then whe I did comment several retards would pounce on me after the meeting with their "Nice to hear you comment" crap. Then I'd refrain from commenting for another year or so.

I've avoided the elders so far...but could this all change on SATURDAY?
by logansrun inwell, it has been almost three years since i silently and dramatically vanished from the world of the watchtower.
moving an hour away from my congregation's territory and not answering phone calls was all i needed to avoid having to wear the letter "a" on my chest.
but, that could all change this saturday.
