I'm thinking about joining the Naval Reserves. I'm still not sure though. I really want to do it, but it will probably ruin the (working) relationship I have with my rents and little sisters. I've wanted to be in the military since I was a little (JW) kid.

7. I was treated like a leper in school because I didn't salute the flag or celebrate holidays.
6. The WTBTS class system.
5. Stupid rules, like no masturbation or oral sex. Since when is that in the Bible?
4. I never got to love God, only fear him.
3. I have no really special childhood memories, like bdays, or anything like that.
2. Leaving the org was like being cast into a mysterious world. Nothing to fall back on because my whole life had revolved around the org.
1. Having to live my life as a hypocrite.

Most Annoying "Kingdom song?"
by doodle-v inwhat's a kingdom song you can remember singing that gives you the creeps now?
mine is "move ahead" i think that was the title, anyway it has so much rhetoric... but the tune is so darn catchy.... darn.... in my opinion, those songs are the perfect example of mind control.

Did anyone else think that Sept 11 was Armageddon?
by Freedomrules ini was in washington at the time (i work for the govt) when the attack occurred.
i had a massive panic attack at first and then steeled myself and worked through the night as part of our emergency response team.. i was embarassed by my reaction.
did anyone else have a similar experience?

Actually, Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols blew up the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. The WTC bombing of 1993 was an international terrorism act, masterminded by the Blind Sheikh, whose name I can't remember right now...Ramzi Youssef?

Did you cheat on your monthly report?
by JH ini was always honest with my field service reports, until the time when an elder came over to give me hell because i had only 1 hour that month in the field service.
i told him that i was working 50 hours a week, had a 4 day district convention that month and couldn't do miracles that month.
he never accepted my explanation.. .

Yup, all the time. I counted driving time, coffee break, sometimes I'd just hand a random tract out to the first schmo I'd meet on the street so I could start counting my time. Ahh, the good old days. I never had less than 10 hours...

Anybody here that belonged to one of the English Congregations ...
by Freedomrules in.
in rome, italy between 91-95?.
just curious to see if anyone i know is here...

Probably. I think the whole circuit was only about 1000 people and we all met up for the assemblies in Rome. If I heard a name I'd be able to tell you if I knew them or not. But I can't remember specific names for those in certain congregations. I can only remember the names of people in the congregations in Rome.
