Do you think there is any correlation between intelligence and membership? Most JWs I've known aren't that bright, and it seems that most that leave are really intelligent.
Just an observation. Any thoughts?

those of you that know me well know that i'm not going to say anything or much of anything anymore in this forum.. .
however, i will be offering much of my music instead.
i won't be posting it here anymore.
Hey SYN,
I've been trying to speak to you for a while. I'm moving to Togo, but I understand you are in RSA. If you have time, can we talk about Togo?
Thanks,
Lucia aka Freedomrules
were you the type to always jot down every little detail the brothers said from the podium?.
i found it amusing when especially sisters were always writting notes in their pads when the brother was giving a talk in the front.. i wonder if it was because they found the topic interesting, or because they wanted to look as if they were learning something.. i was all ears, but never took down notes.
that's odd, coming from a person who is "visual".
for SYN:
Off topic, I just noticed you are in Togo. I'm moving there this summer for two years. I wanted to send you a PM but was unable to. Am interested in talking if you are available.

And yes, I took notes, so I'd look spiritual and could make out with cute brothers. Ewww....
just wondering how many ex dubs have served in the military.
was it before or after the jw's?
where did you serve?
I'm thinking about joining the Naval Reserves. I'm still not sure though. I really want to do it, but it will probably ruin the (working) relationship I have with my rents and little sisters. I've wanted to be in the military since I was a little (JW) kid.
my daughter meghan graduated from college this past saturday.
it was actually a beautiful day in new hampshire for a change.
i was so proud when she walked across that stage and accepted her diploma.
Congrats! Did she go to UNH? I graduated from UNH in 2001. Go Wildcats!

7. I was treated like a leper in school because I didn't salute the flag or celebrate holidays.
6. The WTBTS class system.
5. Stupid rules, like no masturbation or oral sex. Since when is that in the Bible?
4. I never got to love God, only fear him.
3. I have no really special childhood memories, like bdays, or anything like that.
2. Leaving the org was like being cast into a mysterious world. Nothing to fall back on because my whole life had revolved around the org.
1. Having to live my life as a hypocrite.
.

Ok Robdar, no more pictures of the Governing Body members. It scares the kids.
what's a kingdom song you can remember singing that gives you the creeps now?
mine is "move ahead" i think that was the title, anyway it has so much rhetoric... but the tune is so darn catchy.... darn.... in my opinion, those songs are the perfect example of mind control.
move ahead.. move ahead ... blah blah blah blah blah .
LMAO!! Too funny.
dead (resurrected ) or alive who would you choose?.
mood barometer: a little melancholy, but basically .
every once in a while i think of who i would like to meet.

3. Jesus
4. Michelangelo
5. Osama Bin Laden/Hitler/Stalin, so I could cap their asses.
i was in washington at the time (i work for the govt) when the attack occurred.
i had a massive panic attack at first and then steeled myself and worked through the night as part of our emergency response team.. i was embarassed by my reaction.
did anyone else have a similar experience?
Actually, Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols blew up the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. The WTC bombing of 1993 was an international terrorism act, masterminded by the Blind Sheikh, whose name I can't remember right now...Ramzi Youssef?
