- Most Muslims do NOT regard Jews or Christian as Infidels; they are people of the Book, and not subject to the undeniably harsh way of treating most unbelivers that Islam shares with Christianity.
- That political inference by Christian powers in the government of Islamic countries has resulted in the overthrow of democartic governments, the impostion of a tyranical puppet, and the subsequent Ismlamic Revolution that would have never happened under the democratic goverment the Christian Powers deposed (Iran). The rise of a tyrant (Iraq). The continuation of chaos in Palestine.
- People are beastly to each other all the time for no good reason. They are also really nice to each other all the time for no good reason. Most of the time they are the same religion. What point are you trying to make? It's not like Christian governments can claim they haven't done great harm in the Middle East, or that innocent Muslims have not suffered due to the policies of Christian goverments. No one is denying Muslims can be 'unpleasent to Christians' - and no one should deny the reverse is true.

First of all, don't play by their rules.
If you join a childhood club with friends based on imaginary stuff, you don't write a letter saying you are dissassociating yourself from the Tutfty Club when you 'grow-up'. Unless it suits YOU and your intentions, why should one DA because it's expected? Yes, expected by whom, and why should one care what they think now?
I walked away, managed to avoid DF'ing, and decided to just let it be as I thought it the best way of staying on good relations with my family. It suited me.
Might not suit them. But it's another option.

One of the most wonderful things about people of such a mindset is that they set themselves up to be ridiculed by their own actions. It's almost enough to restore one's faith in human nature.
Reminds me of weebles, those little egg-shaped toy people that don't fall over. It's not like the fact it keeps on popping back up no matter how hard it gets whacked means it is tough or smart; it's a senseless lump of plastic.
But, as has been pointed out, more people get a grounding in why Creationism is ignorant supersticious nonsense from threads like this than would otherwise happen. We could write posts about evolutionary biology all day that wouldn't appeal to those most in need of the information they contained.
Hooberus and those like him unwittingly provide fantastic opportunities to correct the misconceptions about and distortions of evolutionary biology such vulnerable ones have, as they are more likely to be attracted to threads defending what they have been conditioned to believe.
I firmly believe most realise through such discussions just how wrong and deceptive the arguments used by Creationists and ID-ots are. It's just a tad amusing that Creationists et. al don't realise the best thing they could do is avoid such discussions, as they are entirely counter-productive to their goals.

I'll listen to those worshipping their literal interpretation of accounts written by Bronze Age pastoralists (that modern science falsifies) chuntering on about abiogenesis with considerably more interest after they present a theory of abiogodesis that doesn't involve unprovable assertions (god is outside this Universe and the laws don't apply/god has always been here and had no beginning).
Without a theory to validate their own beliefs they act as if the lack of a definitive theory of abiogenesis actually means their beliefs are correct. It is idiotically simplistic thinking, and is identical in its validity to the beliefs held by those religionists who still worship rocks and put bones through their noses.

but I do not believe it is acceptable to steal even to feed your family. There are other, legal ways to do so. I don't accept that there is no other way.
Outside of blinkered thinking one can easily see some people do encounter situations where there only way to feed their family is theft, even if you are in a place where this is not a likely eventuality due to the existence of various charities et.al. Other people aren't so lucky, but you obviously are not thinking about other people.
I believe that any injustice can be corrected without resorting to theft, lying or any other form of dishonesty.
In addition to this showing your naivety, legal fact shows that you are wrong. Sometime an organisation or person will be engaged in illegal activity or the support and/or solicitation of illegal activity, or otherwise engaged in activity which will violate the rights of others.
