'Talking' during sex can fall into several area;
1/ Non-verbal (includes the 'oh god, oh man, oh yeah, oh baby stuff, as well as moans and groans).
Can't help this; it happens. I am (apparently, as it's not as though I listen to myself) in the very loud catagory. I love girls making noise... I went out with one girl who was silent until she came, and then directly afterwards with one who was noisey until she came (and then went completely silent for about thirty seconds... ("Come on baby... BREATHE... Please breathe!"). Very confusing...
2/ Relevent Verbal; the 'raise your leg', 'roll over', 'left a bit' stuff; again, I can't not do that, and like being given feedback.
3/ Added Value Verbal; talking dirty; once I start on this I kinda get on a roll... some girls don't like it, but others seriously love it...I like girls doing it...
4/ Irrelevant Verbal; 'I was saying to my boss... ', 'Oh my, the ceiling needs painting...'; this is vile.

I think manners are useful, as much for their civilising effect as for the heads-up effect when one doesn't use manners.
Given the fact that many men in the Borg use the headship doctrine to be assholes, it is completely understandable that many men and women carry residual problems as a result.
Not only might someone behave like they were still a Dub (a man expecting a woman to show submission, a woman not confronting a man) BUT, importantly, a person may identify a pattern of behaviour in someone else that makes them feel like they are acting like they are still in the Borg, when in fact they may not be doing this, or might be unaware they are doing this.
As far as the gay community goes, I actually find that the classic breeder preconceptions of a obviously 'male' and obviously 'female' partner in a gay relationship are largely unfounded. Maybe this is a difference between 'scene' homosexuals and 'non-scene' homosexuals, although obviously there are different 'scenes' within the gay community. Maybe it's the gay couples I know; unless owning a pick-up makes a girl butch I couldn't say without asking (and am not that interested to ask).
So what might be often true in (for example), the BDSM gay community (where you're obviously gonna have Doms and subs, whatever their sex), for more 'mainstream' gays (and hets) is not always the case.

Hey Just Me; good to see you here. I've kind of avoided getting stuck too deep in this thread, as other than the initial point (re. WASPS), it was, as I said, a debate accross a political divide that I saw neither party crossing.

I think people who think just because reparations have (in some cases) been made that it is 'all over' should think how they would feel if their great-grand parents had been hunted like animals, their grand-parents marginalised, and their parents discriminated against.
I think they would NOT think it all over, or that the 'poor white male' (this sentence alone is hysterical, as compared to ANY other racial or gender group, the 'poor' white male has the least to bitch about) was unfairly discriminated against, and would be as active as the people to which it actually happened.

someone unknown to me sent an electronic mail message to me with respect to community conscious international comments on the dispute between the watchtower and the community of stratton, ohio.
i guess the person wants to send the following to every person in stratton and would like comments on the message.

I think this letter is way over the top.
The WTBTS is a high-control group, but failing them being re-classified as a commercial entity, the community of Stratton has exactly SQUAT chance of overturning the Supreme Court ruling that exempts them from any requirement to have permits to go from door-to-door.
It's a hiding to no-where.
Also, the idea of ordinary people reseraching the WTBTS on the Internet so they can rebuff JW's who call on them is silly.
Firstly most people will not do this, and secondly, if they did, most JW's would be off the door step double-quick, due to their conditioning regarding negative speech regarding the Oragnisation

borgfree; I criticised a statement regarding WASP's, and it seems in response you are in general defending 'white men', which is fine if you want to, but I'll stand by my statement that WASP's, as per the definition I gave, did not build America, as 'white men' and WASP's to me are not the same thing.
I'm more than happy to leave it at that; I think we are at a rather large degree of policital divergance, and don't want to have a discussion that will esentially go no where, as I ain't gonna change my view, and I wouldn't expect you to change yours.

I grew up in a mixed community, and I think it is vital to question the motive of a joke; are they laughing at you because you are <insert race>, or because something is FUNNY?
I live in Hoilland, and find it shocking how open people are here about laughing about differences, and Holland is a very racially mixed country with comparatively minor race problems. Maybe they know something we don't.

this is not a fluff post.... hey friends...i got all nostalgic today and for some reason decided to prepare the ultimate talk that i wished i could have given at one of the meetings back yonder when i was a dumb dub.

perhaps it comes as a surprise to you that i say that the society has denied life, destroyed life; they have been antagonistic to life, and their god jehovah is against life.
Not only is religion based upon fear, the relief it gives from fear and uncertainty is what keeps people hooked. Even if there are major problems with their faith, the uncertainty that giving up a faith results in (or seems to to a theist) is a strong incentive to keep on believing.
The sex thing is very true; any non-conformity to standard roles is frowned upon, be it the sexually aggresive woman, the fetishist, etc. (I obviously ezxclude non-consensual activity from the word 'sex'). It's such a dominant influence on society that non-religious people often retain some shadow of religious sexual values.
Basically, if you make people feel bad about not doing what you tell them, you have them in the palm of your hand...
