i have over 116 public talk outlines provided by the society.
the list of talk titles for outlines provided by the society is arranged by subject to help the elders more easily identify the public talk outlines that fall into a particular category.it is designed to be used with the s - 99 form.this is for congregation use only.. here are the public meeting talk titles listed by subject.. bible / god 10 different talks on this subject.. christian standards / qualities 14 different talks on this subject.
evangelizing / ministry 5 on this one.. faith / spirituality 13 on this one.
As I peruse through my book of public talks I have mixed feelings as to what good was I doing back then knowing what I know now.
But you're now making up for that with post such as this, showing how much central direction the society has over every aspect of dub life.
did you know any "out of the ordinary" witnesses, who were completely different from the others?.
i remember once going on a trip with a brother and his family.
they were going 100 mph on the highway, just to show how powerful and smooth their cadilac was.

You made your point, I'm sure a few people will think abiout what they've seen for a while, but the most important bit is that your daughter followed along with you. I just hope these things don't cause any problems for your duaghters in their relationship with their Mother. Even if they know they are in the right emotional leverage from a parent can count for a lot.

hello all.. this is my first time posting on this forum, my name is nathan and i have been waching the forum for the last few days.. the reson i am here is i am looking for a bit of encouragement and to ask for your prayers to help me.. ok i first came into the truth when i was about 6 years old i got baptized and was in the truth untill i was about 18 when i disasotiated myself.. im now 29 and somthing has happend in my life in the last month that has made me stand up and take a good long look at my life now and when i was a witness.. i have made my desition to go back to the meetings and hope to be reinstated.
i have just resently given up smoking (cold turkey) and am finding that to be hard after only one week.. tomorrow will be the first meeting i will atend on my long road to aceptance and i have to say i am very nervus about it.. anyway i wont take up anymore of your time i just wanted to ask if you could all remember me in your prayers and ask jehova to help me conquer my problems and then maybe i can have the life i used to have back
Welcome to the board! Its a hard long slog you have ahead of you, good luck in your journey. When I first came to this board I was trying to get reinstated, and came damn near to it too. Stick around and have a look at things around here, theres a lot of good information here.

i've been thinking recently about how being an ex cult member affects the way i handle current relationships.. it appears to me that sometimes i am still influenced by the old way of thinking (jw way of thinking).
they teach that we should always be "humble".
they told us that we were imperfect.
Nowadays I wonder how this affects the things I do and say in my relationships.

well i've spent a couple hours today getting my cameras ready.
which means cleaning them like a dentist with solutions, swabs, picks, fiberglass brushes, prayer *lol*, etc..they are going to be entered into the collectors competition at the state fair of texas in october.
i have three cameras, the max entry, all going back before the 1930's.

It seems it was quite a calm meeting. Though I think on some points you could have been harder on them. Plus you could have asked them a lot more hard hitting questions.
It was a calm meeting, that was my intention. If it had been anything other than that I think they would have just automatically classed me as a raving apostate and left so I wouldn't have been able to mention any points at all. I think you can do a heck of a lot more with sugar and spice than you can with venom.
