I used to donate blood, but now donate platelets instead. I've never had any problems, but I was recommended to drink a lot of water during the day leading up to the donation.

theres a guy from merseyside called james challinnor who married a geordie lass and lives in ferry hill just outside of durham - and her liver is failing.
been bad for years apparently.

Documentary with Rick Ross about cults on Sky this week
by Mickey mouse init's on sky anytime too so you can access it whenever you want or on your pc.
excellent programme; as usual it focused more on the commune type cults but there's no way a jw could sit through it without alarm bells going off.
gonna make my other half watch it.

by Gadget ini'm almost tempted to go to the assembly this sunday..... redevelopement work is taking place in newcastle england, and the latest part of this is for the former scottish and newcastle brewery (where they brewed newcastle brown ale for years) to be blown up on sunday morning.
demolition is scheduled for around 930 am.. a few hundred metres from the demolition site is the newcastle telewest arena where the district assembly is being held this weekend, the days program starting around the same time as the demolition.. can you imagine how 8000 witnesses are going to react when during the openning prayer asking for armegedon to come there is suddenly a loud explosion and the building begins to shake!!!!!!!

I'm going to the arena on Tuesday, but thats to see Def Leppard and Whitesnake not for the assembly.........
My parents and younger brother will be at the assembly, but the last one I went to was in 2003. I drove past the arena on the way to pick up my wife from work and it felt strange seeing everyone milling about knowing all my old friends were in there.

Can genesis be reconciled with science?

has got me thinking.... it does seem really hard to hold active trust in the bible as the word of.
god without being leery of science.

If genesis is meant not to be taken literally, then what is the point?
The way I understood it was not that Genesis was meant to tell us how we got here, but more to explain why. The explaining of the creative process is just to give enough background information to make the story plausable.

Computer problems.........

offline the computer works as normal.
online the homepage starts up fine, albeit now with lots of pop-ups.

The problems started about a week ago. Offline the computer works as normal. Online the homepage starts up fine, albeit now with lots of pop-ups. If you try to go to another page the browser hangs. A new tab opens of its own accord trying to access wwwdotleading4dotcom, but the browser hangs not able to access it. A google search found forums with people complaining that this site has a trojan built into it, so I decided not to visit the site on my own computer. This happens using both ie7 and firefox.
I checked the network connections and the computer has connected to the internet but very little information is being sent or received. I tried to access an online virus checker but was unable to connect to it. AVG and adaware scans (both updated recently) failed to find any problems. I tried to roll back to a previous restore point before the problems started but the only ones available are from after the problems started, the computer says it has no previous restore points saved. I've copied the running processes from task manager and according to google all the programs there are meant to be.
I'm a bit stuck as to what to try next. Any suggestions?

Apparently Peter sutcliff is trying to get released again. His solicitor is trying to argue that he is no longer insane and so should be transfered back to a normal high security prison where he would be eligible for parole hearings like all life sentence prisoners.
I work in one of the UK's highest security prisons and have met many high profile prisoners. People think of them as the worst prisoners because they are in the public profile, but compared to some of the other prisoners they're nothing. People have done much more horrific crimes and are released eventually, but because they are not commonly known to most of the public nothing is said. If jw's have allegedly recruited Rose West and Peter Sutcliff then how many more have they been able to recruit? And what sort of people have they been recruiting? This sort of info would be readily available under the UK's 'freedom of information act', and would be interested to see what it showed.
