Chachasmum, Starbucks are everywhere, even here in England. I don't normally drink much coffee, but when I do I like a latte and I grind the beans each time I make coffee. I used to have a good selection of beans but there all at my parents house now, I'll have to restock.

Memorable Field Service Moments
by Loris infor the most part field service is a dull event-less drudgery.
but there are those rare times that something happens that makes it almost worth the effort.. while living in the state of washington i was privileged to meet a rare sister.
she was funny and a bit off the wall.

These stories are brilliant, so funny. I've had a few garden gates disintegrate when I've trid to open then, but then funniest was when we were on the way to the territory. We only had one car so my dad made two trips, and he didn't notice I was still in the backseat when he went back for the others because I was sitting directly behind him. He started talking to himself and nearly crashed the car when he heard a voice answer his question......

Avoiding df by threatening suicide!
by avishai ini have heard the rumor more than once that people have avoided df'ing by threatening to kill themselves if they are df'd.
has anyone else heard of this?

This is what happened when I approached the elders concerned that my girlfriend was going to attempt suicide.
http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/56744/1.ashx
As to whether or not it could sway a judicial committee, I think that would depend on the reason for feeling suicidal. If the person felt suicidal anyway then this would have no bearing on the decision of the commitee, but if the person felt suicidal because they were getting df'd then would this not show repentance and so they would not be df'd?

Trying not to 'contaminate' others
by SM62 indoes anyone else feel the same that they feel afraid when approached by a particular bro or sis, particularly one you like and who is really nice.
i feel that i may get them into trouble just for talking to me.
i don't want to drop them in it so i always keep the conversation short.

I dont see how you could possibly "contaminate" others, escpecially if they have "The Truth"
I often wondered the same thing. If its true its true, no matter what anyone else says about it. I don't worry about talking to others. If people thought I was a bad associate they wouldn't talk to me. I'm df'd, but I've found that some I was friendly with still talked to me if we bumped into each other, just a sign of friendship. This was the exception, not the rule, but it did happen. If I was you I would talk to the people that talk to you and not bring up any religious matters. If you avoid them you are letting something you don't believe run your life. I hope everything works out for you

They're turning up the heat
by Winston Smith :>D inwell, after four elder meetings at 2 hours a pop, they sill want to get together with me.
the last meeting i told them to give me scriptural backing that disproves that the 70 years ended when babylon fell as spoken of at jer 25: 10,11. i also asked for scriptures to prove why they insist on 607 rather than 587 as the fall of jerusalem.
they said they would do that and get back to me.

I had weekend like that when I camped at a music festival, but normally I love camping. The fewer facilities the better. I like to rough it.- Mud
- Bugs in your tea, food and clothes
- Damp clothes, sleeping bag, and toilet paper
- People sleeping at day but waking you at 4 am with drunken bouts (once such a drunken dude pissed on my tent the night before I had to pack again)
- Bad sanitation: Not only do you have to go thru mud and cold to get there you also find it in in state that makes you stomach turn (people 'painting' the shower and toiletbowl)

Need help **Nathan Natas/Blondie**????
by Cassiline ina while back kent from the watchtower observer posted a letter to the society from a congreation in fl.
the letter asked if the cong had to report the fact they had a known murderer in their midst.
the murders had not be reported from what i gathered and they were asking if they as elders had to report this man who murdered 2 people to the police, since he was an repentant publisher in their hall.. .

Hi Cassiline. I've never heard of the situation you've mentioned in Florida, but I'll send Kent a pm on his forum with a link to this thread so he should be able to sort it out for you.
