I work at an RV dealer, so I get to rent them for free. It's my first trip in a motorhome! I am so excited. Nine other families from my block are going so my little one is so excited!!!!! We are headed out tomorrow and due back on Tuesday. It should be so much fun seeing the Hearst Castle and the San Simeon area. .................. What do you enjoy most about camping and what "necessities" do you bring????? Vodka is first on my list!

Not to spoil your thread but eh.. I absolutely HATE camping. Really. From the bottom of my hart! Why?
- Mud
- Bugs in your tea, food and clothes
- Damp clothes, sleeping bag, and toilet paper
- People sleeping at day but waking you at 4 am with drunken bouts (once such a drunken dude pissed on my tent the night before I had to pack again)
- Bad sanitation: Not only do you have to go thru mud and cold to get there you also find it in in state that makes you stomach turn (people 'painting' the shower and toiletbowl)
Still all this can be bearable and even fun if you go with some friends you really like....And as you said booze helps too. I do have good memories about my stay in France camping with a friend called Erik... :oD

I had weekend like that when I camped at a music festival, but normally I love camping. The fewer facilities the better. I like to rough it.- Mud

Don't you need a tent to go camping?
Have fun anyway!

Don't do camping. The bugs, the heat, the yuck. Sorry. Camping to me is staying at a Holiday Inn, or one of those places that used to be on the Convention rooming list. Give me a nice Hyatt or Embassy Suites any day. Call me spoiled rotten, yes. But it is fun to be rotten.
