  does anyone know what happened to jaffa cake.

  he last posted here in june, i hate it when ppl just disapear.

  also horrible life, she was on here all the time but dissapeared in january.

  I've only just noticed this old thread!

  Jaffacake lives a few miles from me, I'll send him a text and see how he's doing for you.

  I've wondered how anyone on here would know if anything happened to me, so I've made my parents promise to come on and post if anything does happen. Their both active jw's (dads a ms), although I think they'd keep their promise to let my friends know about me. Curiosity might get the better of my little brother to look and see whats on the apostate site I saved in favorites is too........

  just a little breaking news:.

  after several years of a great friendship with diane (previously posted as xena) things have started to really come together recently and i've succumbed to making an honest woman of her (or at least as honest as it's possible to make her.

  last night (xmas day) i popped the question and she agreed to marry me (i wonder if she knows what she's let herself in for!!!)..

  this is something i think i can say to the two elders that might eventually meet with me.

  because i am not going out in service and miss many meetings, and because they were.

  orthing at any given time

  therefore it does not matter if its right or wrong or ifder and unity is paramount

  because god is a god of order and not of disorder

  so all jws must believe the same its going to change

  so long as everyone believes it at the same time

  I've heard this reasoning before, but its not in line with biblical principles. The example of Uzzah clearly shows that if your doing something that god does not approve of, the fact that you were instructed to do it by his earthly representative is irrelevant. He still hands out his punishment for it.

  2006 SERVICE REPORT - Feb 1, 2007 WT

  i'm not sure if anyone's posted this yet, but here are the figures for the 2006 service report.

  i highlighted the countries that have either a "0" or negative growth in yellow and i highlighted key countries where the you would expect more growth......i tried looking for england's stats, but i couldn't see it.

  i looked under "england" and "united kingdom" but i can't see it.

  there appears to be nearly 150,000 people who are missing from the ranks....146,574 to be exact.

  A median world death rate of 8 deaths per thousand would account for 51,934 of these, leaving 94,640 unaccounted for.

  i highlighted the countries that have either a "0" or negative growth in yellow and i highlighted key countries where the you would expect more growth......i tried looking for england's stats, but i couldn't see it.

  i looked under "england" and "united kingdom" but i can't see it.

  I've been looking at the USA figures a bit more. There were 28,915 baptisms, but the actual no only increased by 13,210. This leaves 15,715 unaccounted for. A death rate of 8.25 per 1000 would account for 8,209 of these, but that still leaves 7,496 people who ceased to be counted as baptised jw's.

  An average of 995,071 publishers with a birthrate of 14.14 per 1000 could expect to increase by 14,070 per year, not taking into account the death rate. Of the 28,915 baptisms, this would account for nearly half of them.

  These figures put the WTs increase at 1.6%, but if you take into account the worlds population is growing by 1.14%, then you have an actual growth rate of only 0.46%, not nearly as impressive.

  AHA!!! I think I've finally got it!

  many of you know of the saga of my foot problems.

  after 4 years of in depth investigation not one test has shown why my feet are either on fire or numb, or itchy, or swollen etc etc.

  not one doctor has .discovered why they can feel all the above at the same time.. what they do know is that i have two high risk problems - extremely high arches with high instep and morton's toe (second toe is longer than the large toe.. they also know that i've never broken a toe (which surprised me because i have certainly stubbed it enough times) and that i haven't worn high heels in twenty years.. so my conclusion here is that since the wts had me walking all over the territory in field service peddling their wares my feet just finally gave out.

  I've got some problems, but they manifested as shin splints. The physio traced it back to a problem in my arches, and gave me special insoles that I have to transfer to whatever shoe I put on to correct. I've had no problems since I started doing that?

  Are they still trying more things to try and fix your feet or have thay given up?
