Proof For The Existence Of God!
by abiather inend results can determine worth of anything!
(mathew 11:19) by this simple criterion, scientists and religions are not very reliable.
it contains both gods word and mans word.

New Light on the Name Jehovah?
by Ding ini've heard from two different sources today that the wt is making some announcement next week about a new understanding about the name jehovah?.
has anyone else heard about this?.
i can't imagine them tinkering with the name....

The 'Big Change' is that now instead of the 'old light' name of Jehovah, the NEW Holy Name will be 'GeeHoober'. It's 'NULITE' of course. All loyal JWs are required to begin using the new name as of January 1, 2014. Let's all hop on the bandwagon and support the GB in implementing the ground-breaking name change.

"I'm thinking of getting reinstated just so I can get my family back."
by Julia Orwell inthis was just said to me by a friend who was disfellowshipped just over 2 years ago.
she just had a miscarriage, and her partner dumped her rather than supported her through this process.
she told her jw parents, and they refuse to even call her or offer her any emotional support.

My advice would be to join a traditional type local church where she can get some real UNCONDITIONAL love and support. Why even consider going back to a hate-filled religion like the Witnesses. Plus join a support group for single mothers if one is available in her area. The best lesson she can teach her parents is to let them see her doing well OUTSIDE of the Witness cult. By no means should she even consider reinstatement!!!

QUESTIONS TO ASK JWs
by NAVYTOWN ina good question to ask a jw is: do you follow what the bible teaches or what the watchtower organization says?
then ask them to give you just one example of a doctrine in the bible, that they have ascertained through their individual bible study, that is different from what is taught by the watchtower.
of course, they cannot honestly answer without admitting that they do in fact follow the watchtower and not the actual bible.

SORRY....I'm new at this. A good question to ask a JW is: Do you follow what the Bible teaches or what the Watchtower organization says? Then ask them to give you just ONE example of a doctrine in the Bible, that they have ascertained through their individual Bible study, that is different from what is taught by the Watchtower. Of course, they CANNOT honestly answer without admitting that they do in fact follow the Watchtower and not the actual Bible. Plus they risk getting disfellowshipped if they admit to having individual interpretations based on their own study of the Bible. Then point out to them that they are in fact TOLD what to say and think by the GB in New York. Their 'Bible Study' simply involves parroting the party line and has NOTHING to do with independent study of the Bible itself. What replies have you gotten from JWs when this line of reasoning has been used???

Whatever this new 'understanding' of Jehovah might be, it will certainly reflectt the small-minded, nit-picky thought processes of the Governing Body. Mark my words!!

Christmas is WRONG!
by thesaint inyou all should be ashamed of your egotistical selves.
how can you leave god's organization to celebrate the work of satan the devil?
it just goes to show you how jehovah's christian witnesses are correct about how persons will leave the truth for their own selfish desires.. first off, christmas is a pagan holiday and it proves no spirit with the almighty jehovah and his son, the christ.

The entire rant about Christmas, Easter, birthdays and all other holidays just shows how small-minded JWs really are. They are just against these holidays because they are TOLD to disapprove of them by the Watchtower magazine and other JW publications. Not a singlw Witness came up with these conclusions via independent thought or study of the Bible. My question to JWs is always: Name ONE doctrine which you have independently come up with that disagrees with Watchtower dogma. They cannot do it!! Because they only parrot what the Watchtower says. No independent thinking involved.

JW CHILDREN GET PRESENTS ALL THROUGH THE YEAR. REALLY?????
by NAVYTOWN inis it really true that jw children get gifts 'all through the year', not just for christmas and birthdays like non- jw kids?
as stingy as most jws are, i find that very hard to believe.
plus the childhood magic of christmas and birthdays is totally absent in jw households.

Duck Watchtowercy
by Defianttruth inwith phil robertson getting the boot within a day of his comments by a&e, what would happen if the lbg community started calling all of the venue managers of their convention arenas and exposing them for the hate group they are today?

There was a time not long ago when most so-called Christians said it was Biblically wrong and 'un-natural' for two people of different races to marry. What would the public reaction be today if a prominent person stated those views in an interview?? Among educated people today, who are not under the sway of Bible-based bigotry, Robertson's anti-gay rantings evoke the same level of disgust. Fortunately, most young people nowadays see nothing wrong with same-sex relationships. Times change.....society evolves. Get over it!
