I heard a lot about WWII from my parents, and also how difficult was the postwar era which lead to rise of the Stalinism. My grandparents house was still aimed by granates as late as 1947 and there was ongoing civil war in the countryside between Sudeten German and Czechs. I think my parents experience was probably reason why the started with JW, but who knows. My aunt was JW since 1950's. I also met several JW who were in concentration camp and they were nice people, but all of them were women. Maybe only women survived. One of the woman told us in the KH when Gestapo was interrogating her and she had a biblical discussion with the guy who was devouted Catholic. He pointed a gun to her and told her to repeal her faith for which she refused. Than he fired a gun into the air. Other JW were held in the other room and only heard the gunshot. The gestapo guy told them that he shoot one of them for not repealing their faith [which was not true] to intimidate and scare them. When the JW heard that the woman did not abandoned her faith, they were prepared to accept the same deal. None of them were killed but sent to prison which I think was Theresianstad in Protectorate. Rather touching story.

Generally cell towers will pick the signal from the plane at that altitute. Generally modern standard is around 10 miles depending on the providers, but in the urban setting it is much smaller 5msq radius or even less, and much larger in the rural setting up to 21 miles, but due curvature of the earth should not be more than 30 miles. However, there is no cell tower coverage over the open ocean, poor through mountanious and rugged terrain and rural area. If the plane crossed over the Malay penninsula which is mountainous and forested, even at lower elevation no cell tower could pick the signal.

Any active jws, without using the phrase "God must have..." Can you prove that Noah's ark actually happened
by DuvanMuvan ini have a number of problems with the noah's ark story that i could never find the answer to in the bible and so i thought i could ask here:.
1.how did noah get animals that are indigenous to areas he could not get to (e,g penguins, koalas, kangaroos, moose etc) .
2.the flood supposedly happened around 4000 years ago but there is evidence of civilisation dating back a lot further.

Or think of all these trees and plants. Under water, which even with slightly higher level of salinity due canopy rain water deluting the ocean, majority of the plants would die off. It will create a chain reaction in the atmosphere with O2, CO2 being off the ballance. Then you have all the salt that would evaporized and crystalized over the land. Insect that are at the bottom of the food chain will die out... Anyone who read Genesis story of Noah can figure out it was nothing more than nice moral story talked around the tribal fire.

My mom had her memories published around 1960 with other students of that school. It is rather depressing, because of rapes of children by Red Army, torture of partyzans (one of them was tied up by wire and had his hand fried in the boiling oil by Nazis and his eyes were poked out), abuse and beating by teachers, kids fighting for life leaving them permanently crippled. She talks a lot about air rides because her school was bombed and her best friends were torn apart by the bombs. Teachers locked themselves in the school basement turned into shelter while leaving most of the children above. She survived hidding along the road in the ditch. She never liked teachers and said many compensated their hatred for life on the most vulnerables - children. I asked her several times to write memories as the generation of WWII is dying off, and many younger people do not believe that these horrors happened.
The story of the 31 children drown by overturn raft is known as Rakvice tragedy. Happened in 1936 in Czechoslovakia as a direct fault of the teachers who after the incident took off. Several of them never returned into the village because they were afraid of parents and disappeared from the country the same day nobody knows where they ended avoiding justice.

Panthers, there is not truth in man made religious publishing house. If anyone should fear Armageddon, it should be JW for misrepresenting true meaning of Christianity, devaluating position of Jesus, and defy commands of love and compation. Jesus does not have whatsoever common with publishing nuthouse located in Brooklyn that made is fortune by inventing false teaching. Jesus never said that salvation is within crooked WT that without any proof decides to speak on his behalf. You even cannot get the Jesus kingdom righ. 100 years ago WT claimed that he rules since 1874 and past 80 years is it from 1914.
If you have to choose, would you rather follow WT ark over the Lake of Fire or would you rather directly ask God and Jesus for salvation? I absolutely do not want anything common with religion that lacks compassion, never participated in charity, does not run hospitals and hospices, destroy families, undermines god's given abilities to learn and self-improve, protect pedophiles, and believe that service to God is measured by number of tracts and brochures distributed on the street.
I was not on memorial for almost 20 years. By sitting there and not partaking as you do, you show that you reject Jesus sacrifice. Jesus never indicated that only handfull annoited ones should participate while the rest idle and watch.

I personally believe that the plane was diverted into southern Indian ocean and crashed as a political statement by the pilot. It could not crash in heavily populated East Asia or coastal areas that have one of the highest densities of shipping traffic in the world without anyone to see it. After 30 days, the chance the plane will be located diminishes to null. Malaysian government deliberatly misleaded the world public, nobody really knows which way this plane went and with it will mask political troubles in their country. It is hard to believe that any airlines could be so cheap that they have not had installed GPS tracker to locate their fleet, something that is standard almost on all trains and other public transports. I do not think we will ever figure out what had happened.

The story is invented and probably not true. I would not be that sure about the teachers in the case of real fire. They would run out first and leave children behind. When my mom was small before WWII, teachers in the same county rushed children into one raft to save money for transport over the river. The raft had overturned and 31 children had drown. Only one teacher went into the water to save them while the rest took off. Some of them were almost lynched to death by angry parents, but eventually all teachers disappeared after this incident to avoid justice and public outburst. No single person was punished for it... My mon had some horror stories to say about WWII, air raids when teachers run into shelters and left children in the classroom to save for themselves, etc. She dispised teachers until today.

There is not much liquid water below the deep mantle. Some water in the crust is captured in the aquifers, and rest of it is tied into moleculs of various mineral deposits. Consider the heat below entire earth crust, plate tectonics, and so on, there is no ocean under the mantle. The same, there was no water canopy capable flooding entire earth as its pressure would be unbearable for living organism and temperature would be as high as in Venus. Story of Flood is nothing more than a moral story.

Russell mentioned in Studies in the Scripture that Jesus's Kingdom starts with the end of the Gentile times, not in 1. century "because
his hour was not yet come." John 7:30...For he must reign until he hath put all enemies under his feet," before he delivers up the Kingdom at the close of the Millennium. 1 Cor. 15:24-28.Russell talks about Jesus kingdom in future terms, so he belived that the Jesus was not yet crowned as a King but merely sits by the throne of God. I could be incorrect in his interpretation but he said:
To sit with Me.— "With the early Church, the promises of Kingdom honor and joint-heirship with the Master were strong incentives to faithfulness under present trials and persecutions, which they had been forewarned to expect." —
And am set down with My Father in His Throne.— "The thousand years of the Millennial Reign will constitute but a beginning of the exercise of the glory, honor and immortality of these New Creatures. At its close when the Kingdom shall be delivered up to ‘God, even the Father,' and to mankind as the glorified agents of the Father to rule the earth, a still larger sphere for the exercise of their glory, honor and immortality will open before the New Creation."
God Himself shall be with them, [and be their God].— "It will be the Kingdom of God, because God's dear Son and His joint-heir, the Church, will be in absolute accord with the Father, and all that shall be done under their control will fully and completely represent the Divine will respecting men. Nevertheless, it will be a separate Kingdom from that of the remainder of the Universe, as the Apostle Paul indicates.
Post Russell publication teaches that Jesus sits by the throne of God and awaits for his crowning [The Harp of God]:
What joy must have been in heaven when Jesus Christ appeared before the Father and presented the merit of his sacrifice and was received by Jehovah! Again they mention that Jesus does not rule until Second Coming:

coming he would sit upon his throne of glory, and before him should be gathered all nations, and he would separate them and reward them according to thcir obedience to his laws. (Matthew 25: 31-46)
