Ann, I am only against removal of HEALTHY tissue. For example, I have no problem with drilling cavity in wisdom tooth, because when they drill cavity they are getting rid of deseased tissue. But if they remove wisdom tooth then I have problem because part of wisdom tooth is healthy and I don't want the healthy part removed. In the example of gangrene you brought up, the entire limb is bad so in this case its fine to remove it. But if part of the limb is healthy then I would like the healthy part to stay.

i am basically here for two reasons:.
1. i am not satisfied with mainstream christianity and i believe that jw (along with other sects) have some things to offer in terms of answering my questions.

Dear LoisLane, I know that my tooth requires SOME kind of treatment, the only question is what kind: in particular I want the filling INSTEAD OF pulling it out. If I didn't want treatment then I won't be asking this question: all I have to do is simply not make an appointment. But I know that I want treatment -- namely, a filling -- but the dentists refuse to do that. So I was asking: can you think of a dentist that would agree to do a filling on a wisdom tooth? And then after filling is done I would have plenty of time to decide whether or not I want it pulled later on or not. I just don't want to be "forced" to pull it out because they refuse to do the filling.

Dear LoisLane, the reason I think removing wisdom tooth is sinful is that in Bible there is a prohibition against making permanent changes to your body (tatoo and so forth) so I believe wisdom tooth falls into the same category. In fact, in some ways, wisdom tooth is even worse than tatoo because tatoo can be removed but I can't grow a new wisdom tooth.
As far as exrays, yes dentists have shown me exrays and they shown that my wisdom tooth grows by the angle and it impacts the nearby tooth. Now from the secular point of view my dentist is right. The only problem is that dentist ignors the Christian point of view. So I am suspecting that if dentist had the same beliefs that I do, they would have found a way of avoiding pulling out wisdom tooth.

I am not a JW. I am basically here for two reasons:
1. I am not satisfied with mainstream Christianity and I believe that JW (along with other sects) have some things to offer in terms of answering my questions
2. I have wisdom tooth that has cavity and doctors refuse to fill it because they insist they have to pull it out. As a Christian I am against pulling out wisdom teeth. Mainstream Christians can't relate to this concern, but I believe JW would.
So in this particuclar post I will talk about item 2. So what do you guys do when you have cavity in wisdom teeth and doctors refuse to fill it? Are there any JW dentists that would agree to do the filling? Also another complicating factor is that I work in India so I only come back to USA around December. Can you suggest any JW dentist in India (I am in Chandigarh, one hour flight to Dehli)? Or if not, then at the time I go to USA I am in Berkeley, CA. If you could suggest something that would really help!
