  RUSSIA: (5 April 2017) Jehovah's Witnesses hearing under way

  the trial has begun.

  the crowd on the street (see photo) is now inside and the gallery is packed.. yesterday jehovah's witnesses presented a written legal argument - "objections to the administrative claim of the ministry of justice of the russian federation" - to the supreme court of russia which, in paragraph 254, argued that if the ministry for justice liquidates and bans the activities of jehovah's witnesses then this will force individual members to renounce or abandon their religion for fear of persecution.. download legal argument (russian).

  please excuse me for long-winded ranting.

  i know, as do most of us here that "love" is not something that the jdub's are known for except in their deluded, feeble minds.. i can handle their hypocrisy when it is directed at me, but when it is aimed at family who for decades have genuinely been the type of jw that the watchtower presents to the public, and when it is motivated by pure hate, then i get pissed!.

  my mother was dunked in the 1940's and my father in the 1950's.

  FedUpJW - its one of those accounts which makes me want to take a baseball bat and enter the KH and cause mayhem - due to pure indignation and irritation !

  Our own faithful and kind mother was buried in August 1016 - she had been bedridden due to PSP for the last 4 years of life.

  NOT ONE visit in that time by the Eldubs ! And NOT ONE visit by the sisterhood at all -

  publication, that is?.

  i just found all scripture is inspired of god and beneficial in storage.

  i enjoyed studying it, as well as make sure of all things, hold fast to what is fine.. our thinking has changed, of course, but, back then, did you have a wt publication you especially liked?.

  'Asking Questions' & JC's

  on another forum, a user posted that their partner is being hauled before a jc for asking questions and, that the jc will go ahead regardless if in attendance or not.. the post does not say what questions were being asked.

  another user responded with - possibly viewed as 'brazen conduct'.

  is it true, as bro jackson testified to the australian royal commission, that people can leave the religion freely?.

  in my own case, yes.

  i just stopped going and was never announced as ''no longer one of jw's''.

  My situation same as AlanV - Faded but was totally shunned .....

  Then went on a e-mailing campaign re the First ARC and overlapping Generation etc - Mailing directly into Bethel and to local hounders and now have received my " loving provision from Jehovah" invitation to meet in the back-room - to lovingly be stoned !

  Have involved Attorney etc - wait to see their next move - which will probably be a DF-ing anyway.

  ESL Teaching in Russia by JWs

  a while back, i had stumbled on some information about the jws infiltrating russia and china by using the esl teaching networks.

  my son teaches english in china so i found these forum posts especially interesting.. when it comes to researching about teaching esl in foreign countries, the forums are your most valuable resource.

  i had considered doing it - back in another life...going somewhere and teaching english.

  They most definitely have gone to China under the guise of teaching - especially English. I happen to know Bethelites from South Africa who are there now for exactly this purpose. They have been trained in how to unobtrusively integrate into the local society and start "networks" of close friendships. One group are teaching at a University there - on a salary [tax free of their home country too]

  My new answer to an annoying question we have all been asked.

  well new to me anyway, i'm sure someone smarter than me has thought of this before.

  the next time i get asked the perennial (and tired old) question: “but you do believe that the gb are god’s channel of communication, the organisation he is using, don’t you?” or some variation thereof, i am going to reply with two verses and reason as follows:.

  the matter to be established: have the gb of jehovah’s witnesses received divine appointment to act as god’s representatives and channel of communication on earth?.
