  i worked the election yesterday, here in california, poll worker, from 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. it was fun and interesting, went pretty smoothly, nice day.

  it was very depressing to come home, look at the news, and find that the republicans now control the senate.. .

  syneidos posted some interesting information on reddit regarding jw.org's latest project for the upcomming 2015 memorial campaign.. for next year's 2015 memorial campaign, jw.org is producing an invitational video featuring jesus.

  the video is still being filmed at the moment and i was told it was super "confidential.

  I can so relate to your CV thus far -

  My family and I [4 of us] are now faded-out and we have been as good as DF'ed. No contact from the bro-hood whatsoever. In fact we have a family - still in - member living under the same roof and our aged and debilitated granma. They requested the CO visit the old-girl recently and when he pitched he didnt even enquire about my wife and I. Also that was the only time an elders feet actually crossed the threshold of the home. No e-mail/phone-calls/sms' - You will come to accept this as your "new say of life" and you will value it.

  if the friendships we had were so conditional ie if you dont attend the meetings we cant associate with you, then they were never friendships at all were they!!

  I was an elder for 17 years and a B+ District Convention rated speaker [Thats right - many dont know but all elders are rated annually as to their ability and eligibility to be use on the DC programs ] I was also the TMS OS for 15 years - it means nothing to them - we are just the pawns in their religous game. They will sacrifice the pieces for their own ends.

  btw I hope the depression you experienced was mild and not deep, dark.

  today i was playing racquetball with a pioneer ( i have not attended the kh in seven years but i'm not df ) he's pretty cool and has no problem in .

  associating with me at the gym and told me about the jw.org website and how so far more than a 1000 studies have been started due to the people going to that website.. is it true...did anyone hear the same or is it bullshit that i got?.

  JW's and depression

  i was wondering how many of you suffered badly with depression when you were in "the truth" and if you feel your depression was related to being part of the organisation?

  are you better now you have left or still have issue's?

  whatever your experience's i would be very intrested to know (if you feel you can talk about it.).

  I snapped completely in 2010 while still and elder and TMS Servant and DC speaker etc etc. However it would appear that i was well into the path of depression for some years prior to that [this came to the fore during therapies]

  The constant stress of being on a body of very incompetent men involved in constant bickering and powerplays coupled with my kids leaving home [empty nest syndrome] and relocation to another city delivered a knock-out "for me.

  The dissonance and dichotomy of the "Trfuth" was also a strong contributing factor.

  I remained in a very dark dangerous space for 30 months and attempted suicide.

  The support of my wife and kids was unmatched.

  I was placed under Psychiatric care and put on Venlafaxine 225mg to start with - now on 75 mg.

  I am in 'remission" or am I ?? As I am still on meds.

  So to your question: it is a lifetime of living a contorted unnatural life that with unnatural view of the world that has definitely been the main contributor.

  Current status quo: totally faded and my spouse [a former pioneer ] is with me [she worked out her own path without consulting / viewing any websites etc - just matched WTS teaching against the Bible.] My kids concluded this was not the way about 3 years back for themselves -

  My sister [also a former pioneer ] is also out.

  There is just no more angst! its a wonderful feeling.

  PS since becoming inactive NOT ONE elder has contacted us in any form to "shepherd' or assist / we dont get invited to any social activity etc We were obviously just expendable Cult fodder pawns in their game. Fact that I was baptised for 40 years and wife for 46 years is of no consequence to them. Free at Last man !!

  gb member and so called "annointed" person geoffry jackson is caught red handed on video doing some worldly dancing and sexual gyrating (they have spoken against such manner of dancing on several occasions) with a woman who is not his wife!!!

  i can only imagine what they do off camera now!!!.

  i would not have even considerd doing such a thing on the dance floor with a woman, especially if it was not my wife, and i'm not even one of the so called "annointed" smh!!!

  Does a reasonable mind think in this way? Some here have hinted that the reason is to go away for a "final" holiday. Would a reasonable parent just remove a gravely ill child from very good care to go on a vacation without letting the Hospital Admin know? And is his condition "final" ?

  Ok .....lets wait and see - what else can we do. But God help the Borg if this was driven by Da Dogtrine !
