JW Children - We're normal, and have fun at conventions, etc.

was reading a poster's experience with custody, and the info in wts child custody packet.. children are prepped to present themselves as normal, with school friendships, hobbies, activities, etc.

and not to mention that their life-goal is to pioneer.. the school brochure (1983) contains this gem:.

"they [witness families] also travel several times each year to attend larger gatherings called circuit assemblies and district conventions.

Favourite convention strategems as adolescent:

1- Volunteer for Parking attendant as this involved looking after the cars during sessions - but very boring.

2- Work in Food Prep - This took up swathes of time during sessions - you could bump into some nice girls too - but a lot of greasy hard work.

3 - Attendant duty - as you could get up and walk around with a 'motive" - you spotted the girls and it had a little "status" attached to it/ - :"Attendant" badge.

4 - Slip out and go downtown to play Pin-Ball or even take in a Rugby match being broadcast on TV at a local pub.

5 - Volunteer for Overnight Security detail - At one venue there was an hotel nearby with live Jazz on Fridays and Saturdays - you got to see some nice girls and could have a few toots.

the bible does say that the "day of jehovah" (armageddon) would be associated with the sun becoming dark followed by the moon turning to blood.

but the moon turning to blood is specific to a total lunar eclipse.

richard ashe a full-time special servant of the order of jehovah's witnesses testified in the lopez case that every single disfellowshipping and disassociation and other things have all been scanned in 2011 and are and will be on permanent record with jw's forever.

is this legal?

another completely ironic and warped thing is the disfellowshipping form is called the s77 form.

I reckon with all the abuse cases going on they will be tracking all-right - but the records will be scrambled up with millions of other records right? which will take years to access?

In our case [wife and I ] we reckon the new wave of treatment of inactive faders is to drop them completely and leave them alone and not to visit or have contact at all will them. "Leave the 1 behind and go after the 99" as they are still "givers" $$$$ and are still Pawn-able material.

Recalling the congregation box of Publishers Records, there was a compartment specifically for the In-actives and Irregulars and those record cards were never discarded.
