DELUSIONS OF GRANDEUR
poopie : sing him a song: Lett it Be
When I find myself in times of trouble
Uncle Stephen comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, lett it be
And in my hour of darkness
He is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, lett it be
Lett it be, lett it be
Lett it be, lett it be
Whisper words of wisdom, lett it be
And when the broken-hearted people
Living in the world agree
There will be an answer, lett it be
For though they may be parted
There is still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, lett it be
Lett it be, lett it be
Lett it be, lett it be

this question is known to be posed by jws to other jws as an acid test of loyalty.
i'm not the first to notice what i'm about to point out and comment accordingly, but today i felt compelled to add a short article on my blog highlighting the new language that governing body member geoffrey jackson supplies as a response.
a person who honestly hesitates to respond with a robust "yes!
You guys are fast !
And the Sequel?
In Search of A Proper Job?
it is reported that elder kevin bowditch was so upset at the grilling he received at the arc that he has traveled to austin, texas to prepare for any future encounters with angus stewart.. we see from various stages of the interrogation his increasing anguish.
he is reported as saying in private, '.. that's never going to happen again.
i think i was hung up and left out to dry by the governing body.
Mebbe he gonna Jackson................................. Sing-a-long - The words are quite apt !

34 Q. Is it not the case that had Jesus been asked about
35 a case of sexual abuse, he may have referred back to this
36 part of Deuteronomy and said that it's not required to have
37 two witnesses?
38 A. I certainly would like to ask Jesus that, and I can't
39 at the moment, I hope to in the future. But that's
40 a hypothetical question which, if we had an answer, then we
41 could support what you said.

I'm will be Beamed up shortly !
i can't help thinking that there is something essentially wrong with gj's new description of the role of the gibbering biddies as guardians of the doctrines..
guardians immediately take on a role of authority, (dont ever forget who is in charge!
) guardians outside of the legal sense of adoptive parent has another resonance, it sounds like the inhuman bullies in some dystopian novel about oppressive religious politics.
i used to visit this site about ten years ago.
i haven't come her in a long time.
i have just recently started talking to a family member who is leaving the jws and i wanted to know what are the best sites available these days for finding out all the topics of information - failed prophecy, 1975, rutherford's drinking, russells tombstone - you know all of that kind of stuff.. back in the day there used to be a site run by a norwegian i think called kent.
This is a very good summary of GJ's testimony:
Katie Kitten is becoming essential viewing !
so i'm watching the interview with g-jack and he says that if a question comes up about doctrine, the gb have a meeting.
so my question is this, who questions anything and how do they submit a question?
he seems to painting some kind of "democracy" picture for the rc.. he also said that the 7 gb members can't possible know everything about doctrine...wtf???
GB decisions are made by majority vote and sometimes this doesn’t happen because 1 or 2 consciences won’t allow it, so they leave the matter do research and come back to the matter. Often they have been misguided in choices they have made for everyone, but everyone has to follow it .
What about the consciences of the flock who can’t abide by certain decisions they have made. So their consciences are more important than the flock and the flock must abide by their consciences?
DD - don't waste good Scotch on this Jimmy !

since geoffrey jackson's appearance before the australian royal commission on friday there has for some been an expressed feeling of anticlimax.
it is as though he was given too much latitude to preach, to claim ignorance and to skirt questions.
more to the point, as much as i myself thought i would never have expected to say this, gj actually came across as likeable and - don't throttle me please!
Hi Steve2 - I suppose we had certain expectations of a kinda thrust and execute - but if you see the comments elsewhere by umbertoecho regarding a response from the ARC received shortly after it ended and I think when you get to look at the Transcripts in depth a little later you will see the delusional man come very much to the fore -
Hang in there friend !
