  The conventions and the memorial are a pain in the butt for me.

  i can imagine those of you who have a spouse that is not awake and how hard it must be.

  i have a 90 year old mom who is a jw and still puts in 12 hrs a month in field service.

  the brothers and sisters are always picking her up for conventions, meetings and memorials and as much as i try to avoid them, there are times when i just cant.

  Hi guys!

  The thing that really gets my piles active is the assumption that we faded /exJW's have something wrong with us! The audacity and presumption !

  So my wife gets an sms from a sister who is in this 'I am prepped and primed for Armageddon' mindset - cum - Satan is really busy with the Witnesses these days ' which says "oh I hope you are OK-ish ! " [No....... I am 100% delirious now that I am out !!] or her sister telling all and sundry that wifey has never been more miserable since she became inactive ! - hallo ! Wifey is now living a FULL LIFE and no longer a FOOL life.

  On the issue of Blood you will find an incredible bit of reasoning in Ray Franz's book [one of the two] - Its a stone dead blocker on the subject .

  What could they honestly reveal - in terms of biblical prophecy etc - that wouldn't contradict themselves.

  1914 was an error ? 1919 was an error ? All can partake of the Crisp and Sip ?

  If it relates to trying to bring back members it would have to have a snazzy selling pitch.

  The bleeding of membership is related to the prediction that the love of the greater number would cool off?

  I have relatives who are addicted to News broadcasts in the hope that they will have a heads-up on the start of the Big A - Eish !

  You would be told to keep your own record of it. You are now longer a JW - by their reckoning - so you don't figure in the big picture.

  this is interesting, i would love to hear of some experiences.

  i was speaking with someone offline about their talking to someone and coming to find out that person was waking up/awake too.

  the reason i find it interesting, is because it is such a fragile situation, a dance where the two people don't trust each other enough to just speak freely like they are afraid of being turned into the kgb.

  jehovahs witnesses two-witness rule is applied by elders when a witness member accuses another member of a sin, even if that sin is a criminal act.

  if there arent two witnesses to the accusation, it goes nowhere, including not being reported to the authorities.

  and in the case of an allegation of child abuse, the accused is free to molest again.. watchtower attorney, jim mccabe, recently stated this about jehovahs witnesses two-witness rule which he described as a bible-based belief :.

  now this is embarrassing.. after being cold in the truth for many, many years, and getting back some 2 years ago, my wife and i, decided to auxiliary pioneer last year during the memorial campaign.

  we were quite impressed that we made the 30 hrs.. last month, we decide to do it again.

  after handing in our application forms, and being approved, our service overseer asks me, "how many hours are you going to do?".
