we've had a few comments lately that show that people don't seem to fully comprehend the way moderation works or the point of it.. if someone point something that other people don't like or agree with then that is a difference of opinion.
live with it.. if someone posts something that is crude, insulting, contains bad language etc.
then it violates the posting guildelines and can and should be removed.. now, sometimes we won't immediately notice a post that should be removed.

there is no room for self-expression in a cult.
this weekend's condemnation fest proved that.
looking forward to the november 2015 article, "boxers or briefs?
Well it wouldn't be the first Cult to issue approved underwear.
That mormon stuff is just plain weird.

you know, rarely in the history of the org has a group this large congregated to hear from "mother.
" they incessantly speak of the huge group that met at yankee stadium in 1958...the over 250,000 that congregated to be instructed by jehovah.
but over the weekend, there were over 1,000,000 people excited to hear some type of direction, some type of encouragement, something to help them hang on "just a little longer.".
this GB will destroy this ORG....they need no help from anyone to do that! ...SOP
Amen to that.
It's hard to imagine anything being more damaging than their own choices lately. I am happy JWFacts.com and this forum sit waiting for the new doubters to stumble on after each of the GB's missteps.
If you walk away from that Tony III talk and think he is one of only 7 chosen men in all the earth used by God to give "food at the proper time", then you are one sick indoctrinated puppy.

i am starting this thread to discuss the financial points i picked up during the branch visit.. firstly - as an elder we were told that all donations from the event - local and worldwide work were to be sent to the branch.
first of all - could the money-grab be any more obvious given these instructions?
is it even legal to take funds a person gave to a non-profit for one specific purpose (pay the light bill) to allocate them for another (www slush fund)?
Data-Dog - freaking hilarious!
OneEyedJoe - the GB resume comment was priceless!
...
Just sad to me that these money grubbing, corporate con artists fool so many people. It's not uncommon for non-profits to engage in money making activities. Just own up to it. Don't pretend you are building "much-needed" translation offices. Just say you are investing in real estate to support your work. The lies demand suspicion. People cover up when they have something to hide. Duh. This whole thing (the religion) is a dispicable scam.
Where is the financial transparency? Congregations have accounts reports. Why don't branch offices disclose their financial records? Where is the "Accounts Report" from Brooklyn? Again, people cover up when they have something to hide. Otherwise you would welcome inspection. These are not just private manueverings. This organization reeks of criminal activity.
It would not surprise me to find, upon a close investigation, that there is money laundering, indictment-level cover-ups regarding molestation and other crimes, misappropriation of funds, fraud, etc., etc.
If you think I am being irresponsible with these allegations, then I suggest this organization be more forthcoming with their financial dealings. When your books are secret you invite accusation.
...
I know that the combined donations from the box sent off to Brooklyn during this branch visit event may not bother people like it does me, but consider this:
Elderly sister so-and-so always gives 20.00 to the local contribution box each Sunday to help with the light bill, maintenance of the hall, etc. Well low-and-behold this weekend comes along that features a special branch visit broadcast and no normal Sunday meeting. So she gives her regular 20.00 donation to the local box as she would normally do on a typical Sunday. Now what happens? Did the sister support the local light bill like she intended? No. Without her permission or knowledge, her donation is taken and sent off to pay for who knows what in New York.
Again - for the umpteenth time - when people are straight they deal straight - when they cover up and deceive it means they have something to hide. Why didn't they just announce well in advance that all contributions regardless if local or WWW would be collected and sent to the branch in Brooklyn during this special event?
They had enough forethought to write a secret letter to the congregation elders about scooping the local donations. So why not have the forethought to make an announcemen alerting the "friends" about this?
The answer is obvious of course. They wanted not only the money put in the WWW box but also the additional funds taken in the local box for themselves. This is dishonest, greedy, and surely illegal since they are taking this local money on false pretense.
I really wish they would be taken down legally by the authorities and exposed for what they are.
Thanks for allowing my rant...

What's funny, though, is our hall was so stunned by the Tony Turd debacle that they hardly donated anything. The combined donations were like 10 bucks or something. It was hilarious.
This is the bigger point I wanted to share about the actual Branch Visit broadcast:
They mentioned by name REGIONAL TRANSLATION OFFICES.
They even referred to them at one point as RTO's. Like that's the cool way of saying it. LOL.
They said they have something like 276 RTO projects in the works that consist of new construction and/or remodels.
On this forum we already know about some suspicious real eastate purchases that have been labelled "For Translation Work". So as of this branch visit this weekend, they have made public their full intention to buy and develop real estate under this bogus "Regional Translation Office" banner.
*Newsflash* - translation can be done anywhere! This is obviously a blatent excuse to buy more real estate of various sizes and locations and categories in order to milk the R &F for free renovation and construction labor. Then flipping for profit of course.
I guess we could have seen it coming.... They are not content with just flipping kingdom halls, branch offices, and assembly halls. They will now be buying office buildings, residential homes, vacation property, you name it. All under the guise of "Regional Translation Offices".
The real estate empire expands.

this is the scuttlebutt in one of the "bethel congregations" by us.. no details as to exactly what this "faith-testing" announcement might be.. anyone else hear any of this pre-zone visit hype?.
.
.
I can confirm all the horse manure that has already been shared about the Tony Turd Talk and such from the branch visit. I will add a couple of things not mentioned yet:
1) Tony doesn't think it is appropriate for brothers to wear bright colored socks. I guess he was talking about neon colors or something. He spoke on it for a minute or so.
2) He thinks parents should pray in front of their children and admit mistakes and even cry during prayer.
And of course the tight pants, amusement park/bethel rant, the anti workout pants that show booty etc.
He came across as a person talking off script, like a cranky old out of touch man that has way too much venom and judgment to spew.
My wife walked away from it questioning the GB more than I have heard from her in my entire life. She said he came across not loving at all. She even talked about how we are supposed to be like Jesus and he wasn't like Jesus. This was a big blow for people waking up or teetering in their faith.
I think it's hilarious of course. I told her that the difference between me and her is I am not surprised by the talk. She admitted she is taken back by it. It's awesome progress for me. At least a 6 month boost in my efforts to wake my wife up. Woohoo!

just a random thought - but isn't it interesting that somebody like ashton kutcher can communicate with 16 million followers at the snap of his fingers on twitter, but god apparently needs 7 old dudes in brooklyn to pass a message along to half that many people?.
doesn't that seem just a tad bit inefficient?.

Funny comments y'all
... such an absurd notion.
Imagine someone walking up to you and saying, "God told me to tell you .....blah, blah, blah..."
..........LOL YEAH RIGHT!!!!!!
It really is kindergarten level crap. Some days I can't believe I ever believed it. ugh..

it just dawned on me that one of if not the most deceptive thing that the wt convinces the members of is that the truth does not stand up to investigation.
they teach that lies trump truth.
the reality of course is something entirely different.
When the Devil tempted Jesus, did he flee? ... No ... Jesus "gave an answer to the Devil".
Aren't Christians supposed to follow the example of Christ?
Why are JWs told to flee apostates then?
Are apostates scarier than Satan the Devil himself? ...Apparently so.
..
Shouldn't the representatives of Jehovah and Jesus Christ on earth be more confident in their teachings?
The WT says they have no fear of man. They do not fear worldly rulers. They do not fear religous leaders. They do not fear the merchants and money changers. They do not fear the demons. They do not fear Satan himself...
But they are scared of an internet forum ???
The question "friends" is WHY?
