Any in-house word on Ukrainian Witnesses form HQ?
by careful inhas anyone heard any word on active witnesses inside the ukraine and what has been happening with them the last week or so?
i checked the official org website but there was just the expected "fulfilling bible prophecy" stuff.
perhaps someone here has bethel contacts who have leaked some info on what the gb is trying to do for these victims of putin's madness?.

Congregation Reassignments in Ohio?
by My Name is of No Consequence infrom what i understand, a letter was read this past week in regards to congregation reassignments and that the elders want to meet with people at their homes to tell them where they have been reassigned.
obviously, this would be due to the merging and dissolution of congregations.
can anyone confirm this?.

I can't confirm much, due to lack of info, bUT I can confirm that each pub in the affected congos was to get a personal visit, or if not possible, then a call from their field service coordinator, informing them of their new congo assignment. I don't know which specific congos are dissolved or if any KHs are to be sold. It seems rhe local pubs aren't being given the whole picture. ...yet. stay tuned....

Do you know any good novel about faith crisis?

i'm interested in ecclesiastical settings like churches and gothic cities.
but the most important thing i look for is the inner thoughts and evolution of the main character: his/her feelings of guilt, regular visits to the confessor, self-comfort drawn from faith, praying god/saints, relapses and self-loathing as well as his/her process of "waking up".. i know it's something very particular and there's a lot of junk literature about the topic with poor writing and archetype characters, but if you have read anything of good quality, i would be very glad to know.. thank you in advance..

The speaker who gave this talk at the convention I attended made no mention of how long they live, only that they live very long. Hmmmm. I thought it odd, and immediately Googled it, and saw the reason maybe why. He did the math.
Another interesting fact about the bristlecone pine is that they succumb very quickly to root rot, thriving only in very dry, rocky soils. So seems they wouldn't have survived a supposed worldwide flood, and months of soaking thereafter. 'Course with a coating of fairy dust, anything is possible.

How many times did you see a JW start a business
by karter inwith the intention of spending less time working and more time in f.s i saw this many times.
an ex c.o started a carpet cleaning business with the charter being spending less time working more time in f.s.
he has long since passed away and the company is now huge being the major player in flood resteration and employing 100's of people one of the owners i spoke to recently was sick due to using to many chemicals but carries on becouse he loves the money even though he's worth millions.

One JW who started his own business and became quite wealthy was Roger Kent, who founded Rug Doctor, in California. The company went international and the UK website still cites him as the founder. Not sure if he remained a JW. I knew his daughter , Linda.
Side note: she was the roommate of Wynne Warren, a computer whiz , who went to Bethel to work on MEPS, married Warren Pake, subsequently had a meltdown , left Bethel, Warren and the truth . Anyone here remember her from Bethel?

An old Kingdom hall now a church?

i remember an ex jw from ohio taking video of a former kingdom hall that is now a church.
apparently the society sold it to the church.

I know of a KH that was sold to a church; later a friend went to a visitation at this former KH, now church, for a workmate's deceased parent. Guess what music was playing in the background? Yep, Kingdom Melodies, orchestral version! The Jdubs had left them behind and the new occupants were making use of them.
