The question is, will the coffee and donut breaks go first?

Gas Prices Affecting the Ministry?
by WTWizard inwith gas prices staying up, i wonder how that is going to affect the ministry.
i wonder if people are going to be more inclined to do more door to door, since that usually involves less driving around than calls do.
and if they are going to spend less time warming up or cooling down, since it takes gas to run the engine to heat the car or to run the air conditioner.

Maybe he has that syndrome where their a**h*** is so big they have to tighten their belt to keep from falling through? That could be dangerous.

Welcome to the forum. It's not unusual for folks to make friends here; you'll read about some of these experiences as you browse. You've been through a lot lately.

by Amber Rose ini had my jc about a month ago now and thanks to my dad i keep thinking "shoul i have appealed?
" has anyone ever heard of a decision being reversed because of an appeal?
do very many people appeal?

From listening to others experiences, I doubt that appealing would have changed a thing.

Harry Potter and the exasperated mum........help
by fifi40 inmy ex is a jw (as previously mentioned) and is against our son going to see the new movie, despite admitting that he has witness friends who will happily go and see it........oh and he also has witness friends that would dob their brother into the elders for going to see it.. i have just had a bit of a heated debate about it with him (our son is 14, nearly 15) and i just wondered if any of you have good sound reasoning for what is a 'matter of conscience' for these brainwashedd poo brains!!!!!.
help.........warlock can you just wave a magic wand or something............ a mother doing battle with the force...............a brain numbing, mind control force at that.
seriously folks though any gems you have would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe you could use this as one of those teaching moments where you subtly encourage him to reason on this. You could also tell him that you and his dad differ on some things and that doesn't make one view wrong.
Interrestingly, I haven't heard anyone spreading smurf-like stories about having the HP books in the house.

Public talk will be reduced to 30 minutes
by martinjw7 inhave you heard about a letter for all congregations announced next new change in wts politics?.
in letter is information that the time for the public talk will be reduced to 30 minutes.. does anyone have a copy?
.

If it's true I wonder what the reasoning will be. I could understand if they extended the wt study as this would give them even more control. Maybe there are less and less "qualified brothers" who can handle a 55 minute stint on the platform.
