Looks like we were all wrong. What a crappy performance! At least Rooney kept the game alive!

Opinions on drugs?
by digderidoo inwhile i was in the 'truth' i and a few of my peers were curious about the effects of certain drugs.
as a teenager during the rave scene of the late 80's early 90's many of the 'worldly' kids were doing ecstasy, smoking weed and becoming heavily involved in the drugs scene.. when i left the 'truth', this curiosity got the better of me and i started smoking weed and eventually tried ecstasy, speed and lsd.. while all drugs can be abused (and i have abused some) i am of the opinion that the use of drugs can be a good experience, if used moderately.. i was wondering whether others have experienced drugs since leaving the truth, i am interested to find out what opinions people have on them good or bad.. i also wondered whether people feel that cannabis should be legalised.
my opinion is that people in power shouldn't tell me what i can and can't do with my own body.

I've pretty much tried most drugs. My older half brother was a dealer so I always had access to pretty much anything I wanted. I found that sitting through the Sunday meeting wasnt half as bad when stoned. Going out on the service could even be quite amusing! My sister and I sat through our baptism talk "out of our heads", and giggled through the whole thing. The drug that effected me the worst was alchol.(Mood swings, aggression, tiredness...) I agree that XTC, LSD etall should never be made legal, but I smoke MJ and that should be legal. All this talk about memory loss is pretty much fact, but like anything, in moderation you shouldnt be effected too badly. Err...what was the question again?

This is just another example of lazy persecution. If they want to stamp out JW's in their area, why not just hold a TV debate about doctrine and issues within the the org. Whenever I've seen a Dub being interviewed on TV they ALWAYS come across badly. Now that would probably cause more harm to the Dubs than preventing a convention.

Ahhh Shucks. Thanks guys. Bought my wife Chocolates from the "Australian Chocolate company" which are her abosolute fave. Took her to a show and dinner and spent a small fortune on underwear (for her) and loads and loads of roses. I think she enjoyed the day
Zoewrex. We've done just that. We have a few friends that are closer to us than our own family. Thanks for the random thoughts

Fictional Conversation at the Door
by Farkel intwo dubs approach a door and one of them ever-so-quietly knocks..... .
dub gives standard starting presentation about how screwed up everything is in the world, and about the "wonderful" promise god has made to us to fix it all.... .
"don't you people believe that your god will kill everyone who isn't a member of your religion?

"Don't you people believe that your God will kill everyone who isn't a member of your religion?"
"That isn't for us to say. Only God can judge hearts."
"It certainly is for you to say! Doesn't your religion teach that very thing?"
"No, it doesn't."
Your fictional account was very acurate. How many times have we asked questions of witnesses only to have them lie? As far as these people are concerned, they're out doing Gods work and yet they still lie! I will definately use this mode of argument when I next spot them counting hours in a coffee shop.

Few years back I was wandering around the red light district in Amsterdam with a few mates. We were all complaining about work and life, when someone decided it would be a good idea to visit a peep show. After putting loose change into the "viewing booth" and opening the doors we saw a young dead-eyed lady laying naked on a bed. "What a lousy job", my mate said as all 5 of us tried to sqeeze into to booth. Only then did we notice what was covering the floor(!), so we made a quick retreat (...almost loosing our lunch) However shortly after our exit from the booth we noticed a elderly chap walking around with a bucket and mop and entering each booth. It didnt take us long to realise what this man was mopping up. Since then I've never complained about my job.

My two week consulting trip to Bethel (the beginning of the end) Part 5
by seven006 ini knew i had a bright mind, i had been told that my whole life.
she hated going out in service but since i hated it myself we didn't go do the door to door work much.
i look back now and i can't believe how controlling and un-loving that religion had made me.

Yeah , thats right...None.
I suspected this would happen so I made sure that the day was really special for her, but I couldnt help noticing that deep down they really hurt her.
Guess I'll strike them off my xmas card list....
