  i am a christian man interested in a jw woman, but i, myself, am not jw.

  i have read on some sites that the jw faith does not allow christians to date outside their faith.

  ........ by the smoke of incense.

  i swear, the thing just won't keep its smoke out of my face.

  no matter where i put my incense burner, the smoke keeps getting into my face...

  Like Andy said, I stumbled in only a few weeks ago. For 22 years I had nobody to talk to about "it" Those in don't want to hear you, those out don't know what the hell you are talking about. I post regularly to a motorcycle news group, same but different. Some people get crucified there but most settle in and stay.

  I hope to be a stayer here.

  First Visit to KH in 1 year - Observations...

  hey guys,.

  went to the kh for the first time in about a year.. i went in part because i have a couple of friends there (i'm not df or da).. good or bad, here were my observations.... 1) people were generally friendly, but it seems (and honestly) that most of the friendly ones were the ones considered "spiritually weak" by kh standards.

  2) it's pretty sad how much the "f and d slave" is actually worshiped.. it seemed that every other watchtower comment was geared toward praising, "jehovah's faithful slave., etc.

  My first visit in many years was 2 months ago. It was for a memorial service for my nephew that had suicided a week before. The funeral service was at the crematorium and was attended mainly by close friends and family. The service at the KH was for the clan, and the many other relatives. I come from a VERY big JW family. Anyhow* at the KH the only ones that talked to me were ones I'd known from when I was in, over 20 years ago. Even though I was part of the immediate family, sitting in the 2nd row, had been at my brothers house daily for 5 days I and my family were not approached by any of the cong. Not even the guy giving the service!

  norway is home to some of europe's dirtiest people, according to a survey.. the study found seven per cent of people in norway changed their underwear only once a week.. the survey, conducted by ac nielsen for norwegian underwear maker dovre, asked 1,000 norwegians between the ages of 20 and 60 how often their changed their underwear.. some people admitted to changing them even less often than once a week.

  more than a third said they wore the same underwear for two days or more, aftenposten reported.. people between 41 and 50 were the least likely to change their underwear regularly, while people with partners were found to change their underwear less often than single people.. the survey showed 11% of norwegians change their underwear two to three times a week, 18% change four to six times a week and 58% change daily

  Do you believe Christ returned invisibly ? Did Russell make everything up ?

  in january, 1876, when he was 23 years old, russell received a copy of the herald of the morning, an adventist magazine published by nelson h. barbour of rochester, new york.

  one of the distinguishing features of barbour's group at that time was their belief that christ returned invisibly in 1874, and this concept presented in the herald captured russell's attention.

  it meant that this adventist splinter group had not remained defeated, as others had, when christ failed to appear in 1874 as adventist leaders had predicted; somehow this small group had managed to hold onto the date by affirming that the lord had indeed returned at the appointed time, only invisibly.

  How old were you when you got Baptised?

  i was 13 at the time.

  i wanted to get baptised before the end came in 1975. .

  back then, 13 was borderline young for baptism, but from what i've been reading, some are now getting baptised as young as 9 or 10. .
