  it took a personal event to make me want to do that for the first time in thirty years.

  the "what if" thing comes to mind... no matter how much i strongly believe that they are not, what if armageddon happened tomorrow and they were correct?

  wow, what a stampede of newbies! welcome all!

  I left with my 1st wife. She is a very outgoing person and took me places I never would have gone alone. I have mellowed somewhat since trying all the things that were considered evil, but I spose I was just rebelling.

  Long hair, booze, smokes (both kinds) sex, more booze.

  It's like getting over every bad relationship, you have to move on.

  Grading of Disfellowshipping Offenses

  just putting this out to you.. have you encountered, or noticed on occasion how what you were disfellowshipped for, also dictates who will associate with you, post-jw?

  yes, i'm talking about those beloved ex-jws/df'd/da'd/apostates.. by that, i mean, if you were, let's say, disfellowshipped for scriptural/doctrinal issues, perhaps in the ex-jw world, you hold yourself or others of that ilk, in higher esteem?.

  those that were disfellowshipped for smoking, heavy drinking or drug use, perhaps as previously not strong people.. those that were disfellowshipped for sexual misconduct: (file under: other) and similar to the above.. it's interesting.

  What does your online handle mean?

  a few of us use our real names as our handles, but most of us use something else, such as a nickname or a variation of our real name.

  iiz2cool - it was not my nickname (i really don't think i'm all that cool), but that of an old friend named mike prezelj.

  i won't go into how he got the name, but it happened when we were all very high, and you had to be there to understand.

  Nuffin really, Just got tired of signing my name, so I shortenend it. The name stuck at work. It's better sometimes to choose your own nick, than have one picked for you.
