we had a letter read at the end of the wt study today announcing twickenham for our convention, 22-24 august 2014. no amex next year then.. there was also a letter read saying not to book hotels except from the wts list as this would help make it cheaper for the majority as the wts will have greater bargaining power!.

they are also hoping to book buses and trains.. what a scam.. george.

We have ours at Coventry Ricoh Arena - funny as I saw Take That there a few years ago and it was a far better atmosphere and then last year I went to my first ever football match (been to lots of football grounds but never for a footie game!!) there to watch Coventry Vs Birmingham and it was FAB hearing the rowds chant "Oh Birmingham is full of ****, oh Birmingham is full of ****, it's full of Brummies, blues and villa, Oh Birmingham is full of ****." Yes as you can imagine it was a VERY different atmosphere he he!! :)

Oh I would SOOOOO love to meet up with ANYONE. Everyone I know who has broken free of the JWs has a partner to support them. I dont know ANYONE who has done it without the support of someone at home.

Why can I only post a few posts every few days? I have LOTS to say and cant. I cant even send PMs to people....HELP me admin! :)

Im about 20 minutes outside of Birmingham. :) x

Their New Grey Bible- Why the change?

it's been awhile since i've been here, but i just checked in the other day and have kind of been lurking and reading.

so, what's the purpose of the change in the jw nwt?

are they re-writing everything to go along with their new light?

I heard that since the last translation, new scrolls have been found and so more translation has been made.

Some of the things Ive come across (at my judicial last week) were the word FORNICATION is now something like sexual misconduct/behaviour. My dad also says the scripture about 'the gate leading to the broad and narrow path' is slightly differently worded too.

In the UK they had ONLY people who were baptised more than 30 years and elders and their wives were invited to the local assembly hall to listen to a live public broadcast and they presented them their new bibles. I AM DISGUSTED by this.......

WHY DIDNT THEY RELEASE IT TO EVERYONE AT THE CONVENTION? Why select only certain people? Are they saying that they are somehow BETTER than the rest of us???? Disgraceful for a religion that claims no superiority and rank within the organisation.

I only noticed any of this since I stepped out of the bubble....Im 35 years old and I feel like a child seeing the world for the first time. Eye opening!

i wanted to know if anyone on here was df'd or know of any who were...why i ask is because many of the friends i have spoken to, say it's not done, just like that.

it's a process.

i have spoken to a re-instated sister and she said by the time they see you, you are pretty much out.

Ive heard that apparently this is in the elders book or something but they tell you not to tell us....whats upsetting me is I have to sit in front of 3 men and explain my private business to them over and over, like im being charged for murder!!! So humiliating and intrusive! GRRRRRR.......

I did that once outside my khall back in 1998, I lay across the railings and my friends took a photo of me (back when I was 18 or something) and my dad saw the photo and OH BOY I got in so much trouble for "showing such disrespect to Gods house!" ha ha ha :) happy days x

Im in the process of being DF'd and I dont want to be, I NEED my parents support to help me with my son. My parents are my lifeline but I fear they just dont believe a man stayed in my house without sexual contact (hell they must think im sexually starved or maybe they think no man could stay and not keep their hands off me ;) ha ah!) For once in my life I was actually telling the truth but whatever, my whole future rests on 3 men who can determine whether I see my parents or not.

Ive appealed last night - lets see what happens now but Ill have to go over it all again for now the 3rd time and tbh I really dont want to discuss my private life with them, its non of their godamned business! I havent attended for 2 years ffs! Wish theyd all just f**k off and leave me alone. But if I fail the appeal Ill have subjected myself to 3 judicials to try and clear my name and Ill be left with no family.

Thats the price you pay for getting baptised at 16 and deciding to leave it aged 35....once your in it, theres no going back or escaping!! :(

Oooh I love the beatles. My mom brought us up listening to them....I live about 2 hours away from Liverpool and went over last year and did the whole Beatles museum, the magical mystery tour - you visit strawberry fields and all their birth places and penny lane etc. Its fab (four!) ha ha I think their music still appeals even now to the younger generation, its so catchy and happy. xx
