If Jesus was in heaven and knew things would be completed (on earth) why worry?

Possibly he knew that certain things had to happen but didn't know exactly how they were to happen or the intensity of those things.

people stay jehovah's witnesses for several reasons.

the foremost is because they are taught that they could cheat death and not have to die or even better yet not have to get old.

the second is they can see their dead relatives again , who have a direct pass to paradise, and that we must obey to get there to see them in the resurrection.

to define something is to explain it by breaking down its meaning into simpler, separate terms.. for example: to leave is to depart from a location by going elsewhere.. to return is to come back to a location after having departed.. simple enough?

what if somebody was visiting you in your home and they told you they were leaving and going away to their.

fabulous castle in europe, but they were going to return and take you with them next time?.

it seems like the list of people who are accusing him of rape and sexual assault is growing every day.

i'm skeptical of single accusations but the number of people and the similar stories seem overwhelming now.. it's not a conviction but to the court of public opinion ... guilty?.

They also did this with Pontius Pilate when he said: "What is truth?". They said he was mocking truth and not really asking a question.

Imo he was somewhat cynical but also was curious.

I'll try. The witness philosophy is a whole bunch of if's. If all their base assumptions are right then it makes sense. If the governing body is God's channel then what they say must be right. So there is many layers here. First off the bible never mentions inactive ones as a label. The letters to the congregations in revelation are good things and bad things about the individual congregations. It's like judging someone when you say they are inactive because what that really means is they are slacking and good people don't slack therefore the 'inactive one' is not a good person. You know what this is exactly what happens in society such as 'oh that person is succesful so he must be a good person' or 'that person is poor so he must be a bad person'. It is like the man who built his house on sand- maybe he built it faster and it is complete so all those watching judge him to be the better man and the man who dug down and built on rock is mocked by onlookers saying 'he is not a good worker look at the other man - he is done already!' So appearances can be deceiving and the witnesses have built appearance based works by their very nature i.e. time slips, number of return visits, years an elder, return visits. How bout the widow who dropped 2 coins of small value in.

Anyhow their works are bad anyway and it's little wonder noone wants to go spreading that garbage around.

Heres a scripture: 1 Pet 2:20"But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God." So it is actually a credit to not spread cult literature around.

how the criminal was urged to confess before death.

"RULES AND REGULATIONS CONCERNING THE EXECUTION BY STONING AND THE MANNER OF HERALDING. HOW THE CRIMINAL WAS URGED TO CONFESS BEFORE DEATH. THE STRIPPING OFF BEFORE DEATH OF THE DRESS OF A MALE AND OF A FEMALE. THE HANGING AFTER STONING, AND HOW IT WAS PERFORMED."

This is very similar to the disfellowshipping process. 1) You must confess to humans. 2) You must be stripped of dignity 3) Finally you are executed

and 4) hanging after you are executed (disfellowshipped) by slander and shunning.

Draw your own conclusions but imo this shows a pattern of evil cults.

Evolution says: you keep getting better and better. Except now it's transhumanism which basically says humans can become like gods. Very similar.
