  For centuries, it was thought that science can explain everything without God because it believed in materialistic reducibility. In this view, minds or consciousness,for instance, could be reduced to being a manifestation of the biological working of the brain based on the chemistry of nerve cells that were governed by laws laid down by physics. And physics,of course, could be reduced to matter and its interactions. NOTHING MISSING.

  And adherents of such beliefs made it appear that all scientists were of same opinion.

  However, Nobel laureate Eugene Wigner wrote that materialism was not logically consistent with present quantum mechanics. Sir Rudolf Peierls, another great 20th-century physicist, wrote, the premise that you can describe in terms of physics the whole function of a human being including knowledge and consciousness,is untenable. THERE IS STILL SOMETHING MISSING.

  But quantum physics has now ushered in this enormous amount of uncertainty in matter that can only be resolved with the interaction of A MIND ON IT. If the human mind transcends matter to some extent,could there not exist minds that transcend the physical universe altogether? And might there not even exist an ultimate Mind?

  You can disagree--that is the beauty of cause and effect principle!

  Cause and effect principle is all about freedom and benefit!

  1) You know better than anybody that your present is the result of the choices you made in the past—hence it follows that your future will be the result of choices you make in the present! Hence you can have control your future; hence it is about FREEDOM!

  2) You want to take a particular course of action, and you have countless examples of people who have ALREADY taken such a course and reaped its consequences. Hence you can choose only those actions which brings benefits to you; hence it is about BENEFITS.

  God has no role to play, because Cause and Effect mechanism DOES it any way!

  Atheists are reluctant to personify that PRIMARY CAUSE as God because of the history of religions which became a synonym for greed and human rights abuse.

  In the East, religions teach that we are all Gods (which would mean even a terrorist/pedophile is also a god).
  In the West, religions teach that God had to murder the most innocent child of His to forgive the sins of some of his children (which means God is so bankrupt of ideas that He became the greatest sinner as to remove the sins of some people). And even after such a costliest act, still SIN rules as king over manikind!

  If they were sent by Satan, why should Satan help them with that particular choice of gifts with theological insight into Jesus's proposed three roles—something which disciples could not have grasped even after directly being trained by Jesus himself, who showed even power over natural forces and death itself!

  Would that not mean that Satan is co-operating with God and Jesus?

  1) Someone felt the need of projecting Jesus being born through a virgin. Hence got the idea incorporated into the Mathew’s gospel: “All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).” (Mathew 1:22, 23) This supposed prophesy is found in Isaiah chapter 7:1-17. It speaks of a “young woman” (almah), not about virgin. And interestingly, it speaks about somebody else, and has nothing to do with Jesus.

  2) Magi from the east coming to visit Jesus and presenting him “him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.” (Mathew 2:1-12) They actually behaved as if they KNEW the theology that was developed gradually in the later centuries! Gold symbolizes gift for a King; frankincense a gift for a priest; Myrrh a gift for someone to die. It means people from the East, who had no theological insight of Jesus perfectly understood without any training about the three major roles Jesus would play—KING, PRIEST, AND MESSIAH WHO WOULD DIE. It is unlikely that people from the East would understand them while Jesus’s own disciples could not, even after receiving training directly from Jesus for over three years. (Mathew 26:10-13 Contrast John 6:60)

  These are some of the instances where WT is following the blind guides of ancient times.
