thursday, the supreme court overturned the ruling in the 1986 georgia case bowers v hardwick.

in essence the court said that anti-sodomy laws are unconstitutional as they invade the citizen's right to sexual privacy.

how will the wt react?

Let me tell you, if Elders somehow followed me to my house after I picked up my girlfriend, who is studying to become a JW, and sat around sopying on us/her for excuses to persecute her of DF her.....its called going out the back door, sneaking down the street coming up behind thier car, and beating the holy snot out of them. ANY JW that spies on me or harrasses my girlfriend just for being in love with me, is going to be remade into an object lesson on respecting other peoples privacy, courtesy of my bare hands :)

they sat at the counter with me him with his back turned and her giving him a play by play of my every move and how much i ate.. i just ignored them they were like two steaming piles of shit for me to walk around.he follows me around the neighborhood yelling insults trying to get me to turn around and look at him but to me he's just some crazy vagrant or pervert to be ignored.. she ordered ice cream and he sat there trying to look like the picture of a good husband and i just laughed out loud, she didn't know that in the past while married to her he used to hang around outside my job every morning, or that he would call me on the phone romancing me.. i just sat there laughing thinking you are nothing special to him all those years he was calling me, would'nt be surprised if he called again..

I wish it were this simple with the situation I've found myself in with my girlfriend. If one of the Elders wigged uot and strarted slining insults and trying to insight trouble. She'd see them for who they are, and I'd finally have the opportunity to beat the holy snot out of one of them LoL.

"At present, the secret elders book says that if the elders know a man stayed overnight in the home of a homosexual, he can be disfellowshipped. (Whether they can prove sex took place is not relevant.) Or if a man and woman stay overnight in the same house in "incriminating circumstances" the elders can decide to disfellowship, even in the absence of concrete evidence."

First of all, I despise some of the teachings and social behavior of this group. I can also see where over time, they have changed thier social attitudes to accomodate the environment/time period they find themselves in. What caught my eye here is the existence of a "Secret Elders Book" I am curious as to how one might aquire an actualy copy of the book to look at and ofcourse scrutinize :) Anyone who can help is officially the man, or the woman if the case may be :)
