i believe in god.

i don't believe he punishes or rewards people.

so by the same extention i don't believe any spirit beings can communicate with or influence humans.. many who do not believe in god though, have gone to fortune tellers.

Very interesting, as I have never had an experience I cannot say if they are hullucinations or spirit beings. But I seem confident that skecptics have always got the same answers as do believers with their experiences.

The thing that sways me is the clandestine nature of it all. If someone wanted to communicate with me why all the cloak and dagger semantics. If they need me to do something make it clear to me.

That's a find Metatron. Yes this stupid Spanish politician is generalising and placing blame on homosexulas for the debt problem. It kind of reminds me of the propaganda Hitler started to spread in 1933 about Jews owning all the businesses and controlling all the jobs in Germany.

She reminds me that politicians can actually incite hatered to a group of people. I am glad the telegraph have picked up on it and are condeming her.

Ministy School - Endless, without graduation - How could we?

yesturday, i was talking to a friend and she said that in order to get a degree from a local college, they require a completed a public speaking course.

i said that was no problem, because i had been in a public speaking school for 40 years.

she looked at me like i had three heads.

Most JWs only get 2 talks a year and remain on the same counsel point "Accurate Reading" which everyone else is on.

My son at about age 8/9 was so purturbed by being put on the same counsel point all the time, just got up on the platform and did loads of gestures lol, so the overseer had to change his counsel point. Bless him, he's 12 now and an atheist. He see's all the hypocrisy in the KH and the org.

Nonsense, ALS is a motor neuron disease. The nuerons in the brain that are responsible for movement stop working properly and eventually end in paralysis and death. There is a lot of research into this disease and money being raised to find a cure. All theses people are fighting ALS. Not preaching.

Mikado, that is the only explaination I can think of. I wanted the other perspective from ones who have been read, and convinced that their loved one has contacted them or something. But you explaination is the most logical, I just want to be open minded and see if anyone else has a better answer.

The Internet Proves JWs Are a Joke Now

i'm a born in, born in the 1980s and old enough to remember studying beefy (albeit full of crap) material like the the evolution book and revelation book (which we studied over and over and over and over).

books and brochures were wordy and chock full of legalistic language explaining away teachings and policies, some explanations slightly above the iq of the average person.. watchtower studies were longer (30 paragraphs sometimes), talks were longer and thus meetings were longer, pioneering was harder (70 hours if i remember correctly), assemblies and conventions were longer, and there were intricate food provisions to feed thousands of people (for a cost of course).. the average jw could recite watchtower propaganda for hours to indoctrinate others or defend their faith.

jws were interested in having meaty discussions at the door and challenging even pastors on doctrinal points.. i know this has been said many times, but the organization has gone through a massive dumbing down.. i can't figure out if it's due to the oblivious nature of the current governing body, a premeditated attempt by them at dumbing down the organization, or just the effects of life becoming easier around the globe due to reliance on technology.. i can only speak on my era, and i know that from the early 90s until around 2004 the organization was allot more doctrine savy.. over the past decade or so i'd say the collective iq of the followers has moved from 105 to 85.. indoctrination and blind belief has allot to do with being prone to be emotionally manipulated, but thinking ability has a say in that too.. social media is a decent gauge of how and what the average person within a certain demographic is thinking, and doing a simple hashtag search on twitter, instagram, or facebook reveals allot about how the current generation of young jws (15-28 or thereabout) are thinking.. many have become self obsessed, internet obsessed, hubris filled and passive, i can see an even bigger decline in growth over the next 5 years.. take a look:.

Having an intelligent conversation with a JW was always a challenge for me. I came in, in the 90's and was raised a Jew. Since then the dumbness has just increased ten fold. Some elders just frustrate me so much as they simply cannot grasp simple things. But hey they're in a cult I suppose.
