New methods?

hi, had some strange things happen this week that have made me ponder what on earth is going on with the man made organisation.. 1/ while picking up some train tickets i was approached by a young man with an ipad of sorts who engaged me in a chap and then asked to show me a new website i asked what he was trying to sell or promote he assured me that he was selling nothing the website he showed me was jw.org so i quickly said so you are promoting an organisation with a brand name similar to how a christian would promote jesus and the bible he looked confused but then said yes, so i said that i thought that to be quite shamefull, he froze for a bit and didnt comment so i asked is this new symbol a trade mark of some marketting firm to which he said "no we are jehovahs witnesses" no one else was around so not sure of the "we" but anyway i said if god has given us the bible whats with a website that produces snippets out the bible with an opinion on the meaning he avoided the question and asked me what i believed in so i said my religions leeders dont let me discuss belief with anybody so i obey,listen to them and dont question he said "you have been blessed by j with a brain and freedom of thought to look and question" i said ok but i think its strange that you use a name for god thats perhaps made up by man, blindly follow and dont question a group of self appointed men as well as showing signs of idoatory to an organisation that has pushed jesus to one side, at this he suddenly he had to dash off.

2/ when out shopping i was apprehended by a group of people with a stand giving free literature and promoting the jw.org website so i had had to ask whats with this name change after all these years and are you a similar religion to the catholic church which led to a chat about how the catholic religion is false and how they wickedly have covered up sex abuse!

i didnt bite on this one but asked if birth control was banned in the jw.org religion a lady stepped forward and explained that it was cruel and not biblical to ban contreception i said i had been shown a bit in the bible that gives rise to this ban and she said they(catholic church) dont understand the bible and use it to control and miss inform people so i replied similar to how your organisation bans blood and birthdays by misinterpreting the bible i went on to say that i believe the organisation to be hypocritical,false , cult like and shamefull how it covers up sex abuse i also got in that the organisation had totally corrupted its self with its un membership and also with the sheer amount of false prophecy over its relatively short history at which the senior man at the table politely told me if i wasnt interested in the literature to be on my way and that hopefully i would mature enough to let jehovah into my heart before it was to late and that he felt sorry for me and the people i obviously associated with.

pravda.ru interviewed executive secretary of the presidium of the academy of geopolitical problems, araik stepanyan, about old and new threats in the middle east and in the whole world.. why did russia support the united states?

not that long ago, there was heated debate on the usas interference in the internal affairs of syria and ukraine.

Interesting report, but I can't see a JW actively joining ISIS and declaring they are a JW, it just doesn't make sense. You can't be an active JW and an active member of ISIS. But I do believe ISIS have been recruiting everyone they can and are quite sucessful in doing so. Maybe some JWs have left WT and joined ISIS if they have been vulnerable.

examine the statements below: 1. the dt was within the 1st century governing body in jerusalem.

Alot of blood has been spilled, especially in the name of Jehovah. This makes this topic even more neccassary.- Ish

I am afraid I disagree. A lot of harm has been done at the hands of WT, and JWs need a safe place to go to discuss policies, procedures and escaping a cult. Your topic is more of a Satirical joke that we can let off steam and laugh at whilst dealing with more important issues in our lives.

WMF, I agree, but I am just trying to help him wake up from his delusion.

JW believe God exist- Ish

This comment is very telling. It is more accurate to say that WT teaches that Jehovah exists. JWs and former JWs believe all sorts of different things as far as the existance of God is concerned. WT is a dangerous cult, many who post here have woken up to the dangers and some have left, others are planning an exit, and still others are trapped in a religion they don't believe in because it's a cult and they can't leave.

Your posts don't really show you are aware that WT is controlling JWs and hurting them. There are a lot of vulnerable people on this site who have come here for support in their time of need, and your posts don't seem to show that understanding.

Your posts seem to show you are from a non-English speaking country...............Where are you from?

It makes me wonder what the GB ACTUALLY believe themselves.-punky

They can't be that deluded as to believe everything is guided by holy spirit. They are clever men to be able to indoctrinate millions of JWs, I don't thing they believe in holy spirit. They make decisions by voting and what's in their best interests. They are in a money making business and they know it. I don't think they actually believe in the panda petting paradise or Armageddon. They simply can't do.

Tell us about how you found yourself here on this site? Tell us what caused you to get baptised as a JW and then want to leave if this is the case. Then you can express what has led you to your current beliefs.

Has anyone else heard this about the GB??

ok so me and my husband were talking to his mum again about why we are no longer going to meetings and got into another pointless discussion where she feels he needs to talk to an elder about his issue's blah, blah, blah... round and round it went...... the thing i wanted to ask was if anybody had heard that there wont be any gb after these one's die??

this is something she mentioned today and we have never heard of this ever.

so it means no more will be appointed and they will just die off!

I think she is talking nonsense, like punky said there will always be someone to take charge, WT is full of pompass ladder climbers who have probably thought up lots of new doctrines to fit in with their own leadership.

Such a sad story. It's a shame that a 19 yr old can be so scared and mixed up during pregnancy that at the time of the birth all she can think to do is murder the infant. The fact that she felt she had no one to turn to and was so isolated is incredibly sad, so very sad.

I understand where Apogs is comming from, but isloation caused most of the problems IMO, there were no reports of her being diagnosed with depression or any other mental health problem.

She felt alone and killed her baby, terrible.
