a fantastic homo erectus skull has been found in georgia - no not our former colony, the one in asia.. it is one of 5 that have been found at a site in dmanisi, it's the first homo erectus to be found outside of africa and it is in excellent condition.
the fossils are dated at 1.8 million years ago and comparisions of the specimens have thrown doubt over the details of human evolution.. it is possible that species previously named as h rudolfensis , h gautengensis , h ergaster and possibly h habilis were actually all h erectus.
the natural variation withing the species may be greater than thought previously.. the "lumpers" and the "splitters" are going to have plenty to argue about for years to come.. note to creationists - please read the article carefully.

I can understand why you feel that way. Although I am keeping my situation confidential for now, I can see things from your perspective. Many of us have suffering in our lives and do not see God interviening to remove our pain and trials. In as far as your intial post is concerned, if one thinks God is responsible for the evolutionary process, then there is plenty for him to do in evolving new living things, perhaps? Am I making a reasonable suggestion?
I do see your point though. Some food for thought, I will ponder on it. I have seen you post "if he does exist, that is all he does!" I like your veiw, I haven't come to any solid conclusions yet.

Why do you think that the answer to something that is not yet understood shold be "god-did-it"? cofty
I don't think it should be for everyone, but I like that answer for me for now. Who knows I am new, in time I might need a more satisfiying solution than filling in the gaps with God.

I really like this this point you make cofty, very insightful, I think stifiling anyones thirst for knowlegde is bad. We should always ask questions and find satisfying answers, when we stop asking we then stop learning and stop living life to the full. Very nice point, thank you very much indeed.

i'm often encouraged to use my position to create cartoons or stories for nickelodeon, etc.... i do not have that kind of fire-power.
