Would a trip to Israel reveal TTAT to JWs?

visiting the sites mentioned in the bible etc, would it open the eyes of some?

No from me. I was brought up a Jew, and went to Holon, Israel for six weeks every year growing up. Around the time I got baptised, I visited to convert my cousin. The hall in Jaffa, has Palastinian and Israeli JWs, all living in "Peace".

Although I saw Jews and Arabs living in peace at this time also because Jaffa is not segregated, I was fooled by the aparant unity in the KHs in Israel. My cousin told me it was a cult and it was nonsense, but there were 18 JW congs at that time, so her opinion did nothing for me.

Searcher I agree to some extent, but most of the good elders step down, or stop brown nosing and genuinely help, the sheep. I do agree that elders have their minds controlled by the GB just like the next JW. But there are the liars and fake Christian elders too Searcher, they would be the ones jgnat is referring to IMO.

Here's one from me Searcher.

In the Flock Book, which I have a copy of now, it says being Brazen, is a disfellowshipable offence. If I had read that before I converted, I would have never have got baptised in the first place. After all it goes without say, I like to speak my mind.

So I have prepared lesson 1 and 2. What utter nonsense........DD- you are right, picking it apart is theraputic, Steve2- more suncream.

It says all of us took the time to study carefully the teachings of the bible and has Acts 17.11 cited about the Boreans if I remember rightly. I didn't bother looking it up again. This is rubbish because we studied the policies of the WT, and were told we could not question God's arrangement and if we did not understand anything during our study, we should leave it with Jehovah. Prov 3.5,6 was always read to me.

This was funny too, it states we have a marked improvement in our quality of life....I am speechless all I can say is LOL! to that.

Living by godly values was a fallacy. I read, we have respect for others and have qualities such as honesty, kindness, and family unity. We are truly a unique people. Yes my JW ex divorced me, lied to the judge and my JC hate me. But I must admit I agree with the point JWs are a truly unique cult. They have had more generations of leaders than any cult I have known, although they profess it's just one overlapping generation. Unique :)

This organisation contains the most unique set of individuals I have ever met.

Lesson 2 was about god's name being Jehovah, and some history about the Bilble students, this obviously isn't the full picture. Then there was subliminal messages about preaching, in the sense that we must make Jehovah's name known. So all the zealous pioneers will be geared up for tomorrows field circus, and use psalm 83.18 again. It will be new to them as pioneers in the UK have a NNWT.

That was what I found in this weeks study. What got up your nose?

Sadly, fading is bad for my marriage

while headship has always been a problem in my marriage, partly because i'm more of a team player and my wife has man issues, now that i'm clearly fading my wife feels that i have nothing of worth to say.. i resist the idea of divorce but this is not much of a marriage.

since she doesn't/ can't hold down a job alimony would be ridiculously expensive.

cheaper to keep her, as they say.. i get zero cooperation or even discussion for any adjustments i feel might be in order for us as we grow older: obabmacare?

You are the man, you have a penis, therefore you will never NEVER be the hero. Courts are very biased towards women, because of what I explained. If you want to be the good guy in the breakup you need to get this out of your head. You are worse than dirt. Your first meeting with a judge will confirm this.-NEWYORK

What happened with me then? He got the lot!!!!! The judge was on his side.

This is my suncream, I will pay a visit to Mr an Mrs Searchers meeting, I will RI myself and tell everyone I am a reg pioneer and participate like a trooper. Searcher are you in? If so PM me your cong/meeting times etc. If not thats okay, I can go anywhere in the UK. But it would be more fun with an observer from JWN.
