this was covered a little on another thread and interested me.
i have always been convinced einstien believed in god.
i assumed what i had learned was correct and never thought i was taught something wrong.. i have seen some points posters have made.
My point is that if if you are going to redefine god in such a vague way the word loses all meaning, and believing in god becomes precisely the same as not believing.-cofty
That's a good point, but its okay. This is why so many claim Einstein was an athiest. If one chooses to be vague it's their perogative. Not everything requires a rigid definition in life cofty

this isnt a slight against any here who have married more than once.
and of course if you have left the religion you are not bound by their doctrines.. however i am concerned with jehovahs witnesses, people in good standing within the congregation who have married multiple times , and it seems it is not a rare occurence .their seems to be many who have married 2 or 3 times.
i personally knew a sister that was married 5 times and was a sister in good standing .admittedly this may have been an exception .. however divorce is not an isolated incidence with jehovahs witnesses , nor is it isolated that the witnesses themselves initiate divorce proceedings .. another thing , jehovahs witnesses are only 8 million world, a wide a small sect compared to other major religions.. so i just wonder what the ratio of jw`s compared to mainstream religion is regarding divorce .. can anybody fill in these figures ?

The example of Paul caring about Philemon's sick servant was brought up. It really contradicts how the BOrg treat the elderly and infirm. Especially how they should not apply to attend and Interantional Convention.

Me persoanally, they exposed themselves as false teachers. All the comments were directed at the RCC, in our meeting. What arrogance and sanctimoniousness. The lesson was false at that point.

since last week jw all over the world study the new brochure "who are doing jehovahs will today ".
while my first curiosity was, how they will now explain the fds, there is nothing specific in this chapter.. however, in this weeks discussion, there is the following statemant found in lesson 3:.
the time came for jehovah to reveal the truth.
