  I am free!!! What Shall I do on this Meeting Night?

  so i am at a loose end tonight.

  i am not going to the meeting and sitting on the back row looking repentant no way!.

  here are some options... care to add some if you wish, help me to decide.. 1. go to the meeting and sit in the middle, reading "einstein and religion" paperback, go in early and stay after the prayer.

  Thanks for your post. The meeting is in 4hrs and I have a overwhelming urge for human contact, point's 1,3 and 6 invlove human contact. Logically this contact is mainly negative or stagnent in my mind. But the emotional desire to have human contact is incredible for me. This is why I am so tempted by these three options as opposed to the sitting alone options.

  I might go to the soup kitchen and put my name down to volunteer, so in a few weeks I may have more options.

  This place is a crutch until we get better, I want to get better. I have posted nearly 1000 times since 17.10.13. I see your point Blondie. But my options are slim

  While you were a JW, what did you say when people ask you how was your Thanksgiving and Christmas?

  We always visit family because the kids are off, so as a JW I used to tell them what we did, shows, trips, choclate factory, museums, whatever fun we had. Much the same as I will this year, our first one out.

  My parents have never had a Christmas tree, they are Jews. But my daughter said she might put a small one in her bedroom this year.

  Go for you you jgnat. I was non-political when before I had heard of JWs. How much do you know of English politics?

  A few years ago Tory back bencher's were exposed for filddling ther expences, at the same time the Tories were cracking down on benefit fraud. HYPOCRITES!

  Tony Blair was no different. He was a left wing labour Prime Minsiter who sent his kids to public schools (That means you pay for them here in Engalnd, State schools are free). His wife Cherrie Blair was as right wing as you can get, top barrister. HYPOCRITES!

  Politics is good to chat about, but I don't think anyone could win my vote. I might see if there are meetings. Good idea.

  soup kitchen-non

  I like the idea of helping out, soup kitchen seems a bit to close to religion to me. I know where there is one near our KH, I went into speak to them as a JW. They werfe really nice to me, I might venture. But I am still damaged by the cult and don't want to be controlled again.

  Wow! My brother is just too dumb for words....

  ok we know it's a stupid mind control cult but sometimes to see it in the flesh is just a slap in the face.... i lent my brother karen armstrongs the bible - the biography, which is a great book to help understand the bible, i have read it twice and it was very informative.

  i had hoped my brother may find it likewise and actually learn something.. not a frickin chance.

  he gave the book back today with an agitated tone and told me it was crap and that he didnt want me to show him any other books, he had got to page 21, so had only managed the introduction and 12 pages of chapter 1 of a book with 229 pages (300+ if you include glossary and appendix).. inside were some postit noted with notations he'd written about dates quoting from insight volumes and scripture inspired to "correct" the dates in the book for events and dates of reigns like manassahs and hezekiahs.. basically he got mad that the book disagreed with what his drone cult brain read in the wts volumes and refused to read any further.. ffs he didnt even look at another outside source at all, just assumed the book was making error after error on dates and got annoyed.. i am shocked he could be just that dumb.

  I wanted him to know that both are correct, not either / or.-WMF

  I see where you're coming from. It is difficult to reason with them sometimes. I remember I told my daughter she was being controlled by a damaging cult. I was getting so frustrated. It could have ended really badly, but it wasn't the best wake up call. I deeply regret it.

  Here are some options... Care to add some if you wish, help me to decide.

  1. Go to the meeting and sit in the middle, reading "Einstein and Religion" paperback, go in early and stay after the prayer. Have a good old chit chat to anyone who will listen, especially new studies. Wind up Bro IamSoFullofMyself and his wife. Could be fun.

  2. Go to my ex's meeting and sit next to my son because I miss him so much. (it could cause complicatons in court)

  3. Come party on JWN. Join in a God's vs Atheist thread and wind up the Atheists, but Cofty, phizzy, cantleave have got onto me, only adam takes the bait now, but it's fun nonetheless

  4. Stay at home alone and read "Einstein and Religion"

  5. Stay at home alone and watch TV

  6. Go to town to a club and pick up a man to commit adultery with

  7. Go and find an evangeligal religion, that puts you in the shampoo positon to pray.

  8. Or maybe you could ring or skype me, and we could have a drink together, and get to know each other better. PM me if you want to.

  Those are my options I have thought of, can you add any or help me decide. Thanks Kate xx
