this comparison is essential to the societys claim to being gods organization.. their previous interpretation came from their former most imminent bible scholar president frederick franzs in his "gods kingdom of a thousand years has approached.
" their history comes from their "jehovahs witnesses proclaimers of gods kingdom.".

Prologs said the same. I agree, WT teach the FDS were appointed in 1919 over the domestics and will be appointed in the future over the belongings. WT also teach that the GB are the FDS not the annointed.
So by extention if the GB/FDS say the will be appointed in the future during the GT, then they will.
I can't see how Captives of a Concept could have influenced this change. I am with punky, all changes ared driven by money and power.

I celebrated my 21st even though I was still a JW at the time!- Happy
Haha good for you. My daughter went out with all her JW friends to night clubs in the city centre Liverpool on her 18th that's a special one too. she only told me about a few months ago. But I am glad she had a good time. I think many young JWs will find ways to celebrate.

That was my daughters point, we were victims of DV, she got beaten badly and when we told the elders, we got told not to go to the police and I got Df'd for sticking up for my kids and throwing him out the house. My daughter knows all too well that sexism, DV and religion are a bad mix.

Very sad indeed. Laws like this infuriate me. It's up to us to teach our sons that sexism is just not acceptable.
We were on the bus in London and we saw a couple arguing quietly, they were talking in an Arabic language we couldn't understand what they were saying. The male hit the female on the head with his arm, the female just looked down to the floor. My daughter stared in disgust at the male and he statred back at her with confidence.
They must have been around my daughters age, she could see something was wrong she said "Mum, that girl is not going to be ok". My daughter suspected she would be beaten. It was just a small exchange, but the oppression and sexism was clear. We never had this problem in London 20 yrs ago, it was not as public or accepted as it seems to be now.

Very interesting. I always knew media propaganda was dangerous but I didn't realise they distorted scientfic facts and discoveries, I only thought they sensentionalised celebrity stories and politics. Thanks Kate xx
