hi guys,.

i might go to the meeting.

i stopped going in my heart properly in nov 2013, but i went to a couple of meetings to support a love one that was df'd and tried to teach them a little ttatt.. now another df'd loved one is coming to see me today and will likely encourage me to try and get ri'd, and i want to support her.

I believe that is the sole reason you are considering going back to the KH. And I believe by asking you are trying to get us to talk you out of it. The more we rationalize the less rational we are.- DJS

Actually that's not the case at all, I am dating someone now and he took me out for the day to another city last Sunday, it was an amazing date and I wouldn't miss seeing him and doing that to go to a meeting, so I don't intent on going back regularly anyway.

Plus I play netball on the night of the service meetings so I won't miss netball either. I was just thinking of the sporadic Sunday.............but I can see your perspective too.

Not entirely.........I might not go........or just go to one to get the gossip mills going. I am really looking for feedback. I know my daughter won't want me to go. But I would love gossip to get back to my ex I am back at meetings for a laugh lol

I am not planning to get RI'd, I just want her to feel less isolated sitting alone at the back and then have some association at the end of the meeting and be in a listening mood.......it's my idea to win her over I suppose xx

Yes I would probably talk about how I found the speaker and the talk hypocritical in what ways specifically and that's why I have lost faith

I might go to the meeting. I stopped going in my heart properly in Nov 2013, but I went to a couple of meetings to support a love one that was DF'd and tried to teach them a little TTATT.

Now another DF'd loved one is coming to see me today and will likely encourage me to try and get RI'd, and I want to support her. I think the best way to get to see her regularly is go to meetings and then go for lunch and support her and give her tit bits of TTATT.

Would you go to the meeting with this intent? Do you think I should?

well another big bad elder here just wanting to say sorry.. i'm sorry that so many were treated like crap, and shown that god's love is not to be found around jehovah's witnesses.

i'm sorry that inadvertently i've likely taught many to judge and as such see that racism permeates every corner of the jw world, else why else would someone be of the world, or even inactive.

i'm sorry i sat in on a jc, and voted to df.

I echo what you say about the kids. Mine at the moment don't believe and I am delighted. My youngest gets bribed to go to meetings which is wrong, but a positive for me as he won't respond to this and realises it's all fake if he is being bribed.

Jehovah's Witness meets a Born Again Christian on a Train. Oh and a Muslim

a couple of saturdays ago i and my girlfriend (who happens to be baptised into the greek orthodox religion, but practises greek catholic...no, she's not greek) were on the virgin train from glasgow to london.. we had reserved seats on the quiet zone of the train, because y'know, a 5 hour train journey shouldn't be sullied by mobile phones ringing and noisy conversations.. somewhere around the lake district a very tall woman sits at the table across the carriage from us, a table already occupied by a very chatty, bearded man in his late 50s, along with his wife.

this man was directing people where to stow their luggage and asking random travellers questions about their journey to the point where i sent my girlfriend a text message (easier to communicate that way without others overhearing us) asking if he was the "train boss".. he struck up a conversation with this new passenger about his travels, but i wasn't really paying attention as i was watching a movie on my ipad, wearing noise cancelling headphones.

after a little while i noticed they'd stopped chatting and the woman was now reading.
