and equally no concern to us as ex-jws or those who question jw organization.. layoffs have happened at headquarters and elsewhere for many, many years - although the scale this time is larger than previously, being an all time high: 1,600. .
for the record, we should spare any sympathy/empathy for those who are about to sent packing this time.
Well I feel for those who thought they were giving all they had to Jehovah. I myself gave up a career as a chemical analyst to pioneer for Jehovah. I gave him everything.
I have now been out for two years and volunteering and retraining as I can't go back to my old career. I have lost my seniority.
I empathise with them and will help and support any that visit this site.....especially to avoid suicides if I can.

The medical definition is also the chemical definition. You haven't offered a better definition. All readers of your posts will know you are not able to correct me as I am correct.
Incidentally I have never been on that website you refer to as I don't seek confirmation bias. I would rather talk to someone who disagrees with me to find out why they believe as they do. After talking to you on numerous occasions I have concluded you have nothing of substance to offer me.

you will already be wondering about a number of aspects of jw doctrine and how they stack up against reason, logic and modern scientific evidence.
if so, then i appeal to you to meditate and reason on one implication arising from the latest news that the next publication will be a simplified version of an already simplified book.
I am for the moment trapped in but I am so glad that I have worked things out and am now longer torn in the quandary of cognitive dissonance, trying to square the circle over and over again. I feel mentally free and was only able to start to feel that way once I stopped thinking that the circle could be squared and that I HAD to do so.-K99
Well that's good progress. I am glad to hear it. CD can lead to all manner of mental problems and failure to function normally in daily living.
I am sure your post will help some, especially those in similar circumstances. I was very frustrated when I was in your position that's probably why I thought I could sense it in you.

Nobody can or can't prove the existence of God, but we a free to believe as we wish without fear of being shunned by society, sadly some are shunned for their views by JWs.

Yes I do, because its personal to me and I love Chemistry. As soon as chemistry proves otherwise I will change my views. I actually disagree and feel the evidence shows guided evolution.
I do however agree with you about other aspects of God. But I think a healthy balanced discussion is what we need on this board for all new comers for them to form their own views.
To be brutally honest I am probably in the camp of I don't know and I can't prove it, but leaning towards there is probably a creator. So I am not rigid in my views. But are you rigid in your views cofty?
