  I stand by the scientific accuracy of everything I have written in this thread regarding the purpose and implications of Soai's experiment. His work is one of the great achievements of science. It is sad that you have tried to discredit him for reasons of ideology. - cofty

  That's because you're too narrow minded to consider the imbalance of enantionmers racemic mixtures where autocatalysis doesn't occur. It messes your phrase " Soai solved the puzzle"

  I am discrediting you Cofty not Soai, you made up the reason for his research and development, he didn't write the paper to solve the puzzle of homochirality. Go back and read through the paper again properly without bias this time and quote directly what he states the reason for the research. He collaborated with other chemists too. It's easy to find, you just need to be more open minded when you read the facts.

  I don't take my religious and non religious beliefs seriously. I have an opinion and if people don't agree I am glad they think freely.

  I do like to correct wrong chemistry though and twisting of chemistry facts. My opinions are based loosely on the facts, and my opinions are not definitive. If you want to take the piss out of me for having my beliefs I can laugh along with you.

  I have another two weeks of that before I start A&E in Cornwall. - Snare

  Oh no I am going to miss you even though we didn't end up arranging the northern meet up. But cantleave is having a party, soon, a bit near Cornwall, if you ask him nicely he might invite you. I don't know if I can make that one. But you would really like cantleave if you met him in person, you two have a lot in common, and I know he has a lot of respect for you and what you've achieved.

  I totally agree K99. He is very damaged by it emotionally. He says a lot of hateful things to his dad and about his dad.

  Divergent, thanks very much. But he actually got removed from being a publisher when he was about 12.

  He used to say things like " I hate the elders" "Dad is lying" to expose the mishandling of the domestic violence.

  He the progressively refused to attend meetings and his dad was very inconsistent with forcing him. He last meeting was a CO visit which he went to after a long break. Shouted to everyone to stop staring at him and was removed by force.

  this site is such a great and valuable resource and simon is to be commended for running it for so long.

  when i first came i was in such a bad state and really needed support and friendship.

  so many posters commented on my threads and showed genuine care some are real life friends, some are facebook friends, some i talk to on the phone and some are forum friends.. i have just realised though that everyone online is not your friend.

  I am using double negatives because I am overtired. You know it's really nice that you are even having a conversation with me to try and determine which it is. I know that I am not motivated by something sinister or untoward. But my mental state could be in question. I got upset and wanted some support. I am very emotional.   I really don't want to get you angry. I wasn't claiming the votes were bogus, and I did read your explanation that they get cleared.
  

  I don't want to debate with you it's 1.50am here in the UK and I am really tired. You're a good person for wanting to help people like me and I am grateful for all the support I get. I understand that you think it's wrong of me to crave attention. So I will stop being like that. Sorry Simon
