I can only imagine what some of these folks will look like in 20-30 years. Blotched out wrinkled tats and droopy ear holes. Spare me.
Get 'em if you must.
i am very interested in hearing from people who really think that people with tattoos are somehow weird or cagey individuals.
i would just like to get your outlook on this matter.
today i was in a grocery store and i sawe this guy with his two kids and his wife shopping.

an elder in my congregation got on my nerves because he kept putting his arm around me and i'd asked him to stop.
a few weeks later he did the same thing again so i used my knee against his micro-penis.
a judicial committee was formed even though i was being sexually harrassed by this octapus of an elder.
Did you call the police and give a statement about your fears of sexual harassment?

little by little....... print media is dying.
i understand the head of buzzfeed asserted that 'there are no new newspaper subscribers being born', statistically speaking.. metatron.
Being the itinerate techno geek of course I have e-readers....but - I miss holding some of my favorite mags and flipping back and forth as I read a particular article. PC Magazine and PC World both are now digital only. A number of other journals we subscribe to are also digital only. It is nice to have finger tip access to hoards of professional infomation and journals. Despite all this I think something is still missing not having the print in your hand. I miss it already.
a jw friend of mine (who was one of my besties until i told him i didn't believe jw religion anymore) used to live in austria and for a while in the 70's was in the same congregation as losch.
they used to spend some time together in the ministry.
my jw friend tells me that he and losch used to often talk about how they believed the wt was wrong about certain interpretations of the bible, for example, how at the time the wt taught that the mustard tree used by jesus in an illustration represented an evil kingdom, and losch and friend didn't think that was right.
It appears that Loesch thinks of himself as the chief seer for the dubs today.
in my point of view, modest clothing is simple and humble.
so why are jw-men dressed like they own a big company or are challangers to the president post?

My lawyer wears jeans in the office most of the time. Never wore a cheap suit in my life, there is something about a well made suit that just makes it a little easier to put up with having to wear one.
I remember one time another elder in my hall came up and complimented me on a tie I was wearing. Said "wow that tie must have cost $20." At first I didn't want to correct him, but then thought better of it since he was always such a know it all to others. When I told him it cost about $100 he got green in the face and walked away speechless. It was worth the cost of the tie just to see it.
There are times in business when suits may be a necessity but I'm just as comfortable, if not more so, in a pair of jeans now.
actually, in my experience, i have not found them to be tighter or more generous with money.
i've found them to be about the same with handling money as non-jws, though less likely to invest their money, but unlikely to waste it on cigarettes, pubs/clubs and gambling like many non-jws do.
i certainly don't find them tighter or stingier than normal people though, and slightly more honest.. what are your experiences with jws and money compared to non-jws and money?.
Most dubs I knew were CHEAP and not very forthcoming with the wallet. I've almost always picked up the check when dining out and can't really recall anytime anyone really fought me for the check or insisted on paying at least the tip. I found going out with groups quite embarrasing when it came tip time and often found myself leaving a larger tip to make up for the deficiency. There were some who I would refuse to go out with because they were notoriously rude and bad tippers to boot.
what a great way to divide the sheep and goats, both within and outside the great flock!
jehovah has given us new light.
.
I still have the two large print NWT's that I used. Both bound in a nice goatskin, one brown, one black. They handled nicely on the platform. My other bible's are in a plethora of colors.
i just read an opening post by el_ guapo about a one-eyed blind illegal immigrant that was staying at jw's houses because she couldn't find any work.

aren't there laws against harbouring illegals?.
I seem to recall an elder letter about this some time ago. The short of it was, don't make a big deal of it. I'll see if I have the letter.
so, i am talking to a long time friend, you know, the non-judgmental type that doesn't really mind that i don't go to many meetings and am never out in service.
he tells me that the annual meeting is coming up and that the whole congregation is invited...well, at least the active "approved" whole congregation.
he speaks with an excitement that puzzles me, like he just got invited to the locker room of his favorite football team when they won the superbowl.
I heard Kool-Aid is to be served to all attendees.

hundreds were present in brooklyn to see this event..
Anyone notice the drone flying around taking pictures? Wonder if it belonged to the dubs or local news? The Watchtower folks always seem to be able to buy any piece of gear they want.
