Do you go to Kroger/Publix/Wal Mart?
by Iamallcool ini usually shop for most things at wal mart but i have learned some things at publix and kroger are cheaper than wal mart.
if you are conscious shopper, tell me what things do you buy at each store to save some money!
i am thinking about being a member of bj, if you know of any good deals at bj, let me know too.

We shop Publix for most things. Target for others. No Kroger here.
We avoid Walmart. In fact haven't spent a dime there in years. We believe their staff pholosophy is an insult to all workers. They make big noises about employee benefits, but few actually seem to be granted full time status to be able to earn benefits.

They are looking to trap you with eloquent words. Continue to turn the tables back on them and don't answer when you don't want to. Tell them you need to do more research to settle your own questions which are no ones business but yours, "since you do not wsih to be accused of spreading" doubts.
As to Korah- ask them if he will get a resurrection - likely they will say no. The read them the scripture "So down they went, and all who belonged to them, alive into She′ol..." Guess they will get a resurrection per WT understanding of Sheol.

What were your favorite assembly foods?
by NoRegrets inso i'm young enough to not remember having hot prepared meals at assemblies, but heard all about it from my parents and the like.
but what i do remember were all of the cold sandwiches and institutional snacks and soda.
remember the food tickets we started to use?

JeffT: Jack Daniels and other special spirits in our motor home during the session with the convention heavies.
Can't think of one assembly food item that could be called a favorite.
Always felt sorry for those brothers that slaved away in the kitchen during the hot meal days.

For photographers - Canon shooters
by SadElder ini'm a nature photographer and like most always seeking better, longer glass.. i'm most attracted to the 600mm f4 is canon lens though some have suggested dropping down to a 500mm due to the weight issue.
both these lenses are heavy and i can't see myself lugging either one long distances without my modified baby stroller.. any experiences with either lens?
what tripod head are you using?.

Shamus: haven't heard much other than the ads I've read about the Kirk. Yeah it's pricey too! Aren't we a crazy lot?
Do a follow-up on its' performance if you will.

Shamus: I bought a 50mm about a month ago but haven't had the time to "play" yet. Soon. BTW did you see how much a 1.2 costs vs the 1.4?...WOW Too much!
Hint: I have a 100-400 IS which has been my mainstay since I started shooting. It's great for birds in flight too, heavy but not terribly so. I'd like to move to the next level with something that gives me a little more reach. Hence the 500 vs 600 question. I can buy a 500 for about $1000 less than a 600. Some folks seem to lean in that direction because of the weight of the 600, about 3 lbs more than the 500. I don't really see that as an issue because I likely will never lug either beast without my "carriage". Though the savings might launch me into that full frame dslr I want.
