I LOST IT ... my JW rant today

well, i just couldn't hold it in anymore.. today, i exploded, talking to my mother about the family inheritance and how i am being screwed.. i told her i had been so angry lately, and just had to tell her what i was thinking, because the anger was slipping out at times, and i was making snide anti-jw comments .... which is not my way.

i'm usually quite direct.. i told her that i couldn't take being treated like a piece of dog you-know-what on the bottom of someone's shoe any longer.. that in the past couple of years, i had learned so much filth about the jws that i was getting more and more disgusted day by day.. i started shouting ... there is nothing wrong with me!!!

why do i have to be shunned when they hide child molesters???.

"full-time servants age, and so do their parents.

when parents are witnesses, likely their fondest wish is for their children to stay in their assignments.

They don't take care of their children, and abuse and torture them, so it's not surprising that they care not for their parents.

OTOH, if your parents were JW, and neglected and abused YOU, what reason would you have to take care of THEM?

"Best Of" Topics has had that problem since it was created. It's not you, it's the threads.

There is a way to get around it, but it was a year or so since it was mentioned. Someone else will post, or you could do a search re "Best of" threads, and you may find the answer.

Yes, I am glad you did not have to face that ,,, my ex fiancee, a great man, was in the 82nd Airborne, and I would say his experiences of war killed his spirit. He was the "best and the brightest' of the CDN special forces, and got recruited to Fort Bragg... I'm sure you know the drill. Anyhow, it's not something to regret.

I feel so much for those who are in conflict now.

etc...what quotes annoyed you the most?.

for me it was "well, you have to remember, they're worldly"... "don't trust anyone who isn't in the truth" "they may be nice but they are not friends of jehovah"... just a few to name.

Please, don't regret that you did/could not go to war. YOU are a champion in so many ways, keeping your good deeds to yourself.

Perhaps if you had gone through that horror of war, you would not be present, to be the functioning, empathic person you now are. That is life, the road not taken, etc. Never regret choices, espeically those you did not make for yourSELF.

Captain S... Nope, it was / is Spider Robinson. He came to Nova Scotia, in the early 70s, dodging the draft. A really cool biker dude - hippy freak that I knew in my late teens', early 20s. I was lucky enough to realize 'who he was' in the late 90s, and sent him an email, to which he replied. He didn't remember me (lol, he was, as he said, a zoned out hippy back then), but he met this dancer gurl from Bridgewater, and that was all she wrote. Life after that, was all about her, and when she passed (early otts) is when I wrote him. A lovely man, all told, and glad he had success.. xo
