UC - the Will Smith movie is a remake of the old Heston movie, and yeah! Anthony Zerbe played a good role. He played a similar one on an old ST episode, too

Sleep Paralysis - YOUR EXPERIENCES
by Black Man inso what have been your experiences with sleep paralysis?
any connection to astral projection?
this has interested me recently as i used to have sleep paralysis quite often years ago.

I had a flashback once when I was sleep-paralyzed (which I hate, and used to happen to me often).
I was floating on the ceiling, observing what was being done to me on the bed below. It was very strange because at the time I was in my 30s, and the flashback related to an incident which happened when I was about 7 or 8.
Dunno if that was astral projection?

One Day assembly in Arizona- $17,000 !!
by AndDontCallMeShirley ini heard from a reliable source that a one-day assembly in arizona last weekend had a "cost" to the publishers of $17,000.. predictably, the elders were nice enough to obligate the attendees to a $6,000 donation to wt before the assembly "costs" (i.e.
"rent/extortion) were even met.
$11,000 rent plus $6000 in extra "donations".

Cook a pizza in under 30 seconds? Okay, that is impossible ....... label-licker, don't make things up - it makes the rest of your statement questionable.

It's a day off, and that's a good thing. For most of the people I know, that's where "Thanksgiving" begins and ends. Here, it is the last long weekend before winter, and many folks take a trip to enjoy the fall colours. *shrugs*
IMHO, the only significant holiday is Remembrance Day on November 11, which is a reminder of the horrors of war. Not the glory of war, but the story of the many who died in the trenches, suffered from mustard gas, and the other unspeakable horrors that we humans perpetrate on each other, and the planet.
And yeah, a day off, beer and football? Who could ask for more, even if it is only the CFL..... :P

Hmm, I'm not familiar with Meyer (guessing she wrote the "Twilight" series, which I didn't bother with), but I get your point. The vampires have always been around, too, and quite popular. Thinking of a Clooney movie about vampire hunters, and a few others, too.
Haven't there been a variety of BIG video games (I'm thinking Final Fantasy), that really got the Zombie thing popular with the younger set going back a couple of decades, and then the Will Smith remake of Legend ......... maybe it's just cycling. Time will tell!

I was gonna try that, Poopsie, but the zombie thing is just too great for me to overcome. It's weird, but there you have it. Everyone knows I'm weird, so that's no biggie! :D

It's not a statutory holiday in Canada - only provincially. Federal agencies and banks recognize it, and unions have it in their contracts, but in some provinces, the average worker doesn't even get the day off with pay. *shrugs* Like I said, it's an American holiday we adopted in the late 50s.

That's the only ED poem I know, and isn't it so beautiful? Thanks for bringing this to the top, CoCo. :)
I think that avoiding pain and helping others who are in pain, is natural? I accept pain, but hell, no. I don't like it.t
