I don't get your point, except to be 'right'. And that's okay. I don't need to win.
Go forth, and multiply. The ignorant always need more ppl on their side.

after a thorough investigation and weighing of the evidence the grand jury has decided not to indict the officer.. the reaction so far seems as predicted - people refuse to accept that the result represents justice despite claims that is what they wanted.. there is now violence and vandalism, including gunshots.
let's hope the police contain the troublemakers.. .

besides being overworked and overstressed almost everyday in the past few months,.
i've had to deal with a 'broken heart', insecurities with my physical appearance (gained a lot of weight),.
and being lonely because i started distancing myself from the 'congregation', i just want to cry, sob, and bawl out here in my bedroom.
Vidiot - I wish you were my friend. :))
I love that movie! xoxo

lol, you are really cherry-picking now!
just so I can reply, can you reference that quote by page?
LMAO!
Or, if you choose not to do that, we shall just let it stand. It's kinda funny, and lol, that's all FOLKS!
I feel so justified, because I am a good speller!
Who are these filthy infidels who cannot tell the difference between yours and your's?
They should be shot on sight!
IOW
Get over yourself. There are much bigger issues to discuss; this is "make my ego bigger" fluff.

I can be offended and voice my opinion against something, even vote to have things abolished and see gradual change happening. Do I need to riot and loot or march around shouting? Not sure that would accomplish anything right now because there are no laws that need to be changed by conflict.
Ummm, that has nothing to do with the roots of classism, Simon. I was merely referencing that you *might* have a greater insight into "why" this is happening, because of the system in your country of origin, which elevates the "higher classes" and negates the poor.

I get your reasoning, ADCMS. But you didn't grow up in the 'projects'. You aren't followed in the grocery store by security. You have no concept of growing up in a place where you CAN'T get educated, where people see you and are instantly 'afraid' because you are of a darker colour.
You can 'let it go'. But the black kid, who is born in East LA and will forever be labelled because he received a poor education, and was labelled a 'thug' because of geography, may beg to differ.

i wasn't looking where i put my feet, and i almost took the cart out!
anyway, i stopped and chatted with the people for a bit.
three women and a man -- an elder and his wife.
I am still friendly and would never be aggressive towards them but if I have time I take a few minutes to challenge their beliefs and practices.
Yes.

when you feed her "government is evil" paranoia.
LOL! I love that. :)
And yes, I fully embrace the fact that my label is 'anarchist' and 'socialist', and that today's governments ARE 'evil', for lack of a better word.
I hope that doesn't colour anyone's view when I post referenced facts. My opinion counts for nothing, as it should!
As Walt Whitman said (to paraphrase) "examine all that is presented to you, and reject what offends your soul'. That is what I do. And, yes, 'government' offends my soul. Hell, Simon, you are originally British - doesn't classism offend you? Surprised. (and not sarcastically, just really).

ADCMS ... I hear you. It's just a different POV. To clarify, I do not speak of the American people as individuals, who are (imho) extremely misled and seem to value freedom and personal rights. I speak of the power brokers who rule your country (and mine).
